slydog: There are adverse implications when a Freeborn Igbo marries an Osu Igbo. When their bloods mix in "holy matrimony" , the freeborn automatically becomes an Osu and will forever be treated like an Outcast. They would both be restricted to a specific, minimal rung in the social and political Ladder... On the other hand, when a Yoruba like you marries an Osu like Banega, nothing go happen at all! Na to dey enjoy her "Otuu Ocha" dey go...and live happily ever after! 2 Likes |

While I appreciate the poster's pride in his rich heritage, I think there's a bit of arrogance and toe smashing in his brilliant write up Let's be honest, I'm Yoruba, you're Igbo, if there's war today, ordinary people like you and I will bear the brunt while the stoopid politicians and power drunks will reap hugely from it I myself don't like Nigeria as a nation, but sod! Sh1t happens Let's rise above all these petty nonsense I feel ashamed of myself when I see my Igbo friends and remember most of the sh1ts I write here 3 Likes |

odinma1: Igbos are the problem with Nigeria. I stopped reading the thrash by the OP when he said-why are other tribes persecuting Igbos? What a ridiculous claim. How I wish Igbo people could drop their arrogance. |

A country with so many different tribes doesn't need any tribe claiming to be the alpha tribe, I've seen this with both igbos and Yorubas. Everyone really needs to compromise and tolerate each other, these are the key factors to every successful relationship. 1 Like |

80% of the comments of this beautiful thread is related to abuse and hatred, can't we love one another? and appreciate the fact that we are 1 Nigeria, our leaders might have sinned against each other in the past but must we go down the same lane of blood sharing and hatred? Let's forgive our mistakes, embrace peace, stop religious and tribal wars, if you don't know Nigeria belongs to 3rd class countries, yet we beat our chest as gaint of Africa and lay claims to our in diaspora with American and British passports(em gonna wanna) who can't speak in his/her mother tongue, even the Hausas that has been in charge of this country since 1960 don't brag like Igbos and Yorubas, what God has joined together let no Awolowo or Buhari or Ojukwu put assunder, God bless Nigeria and if you object to this, may you face the wrath of God almighty. The Land is Green for me. Live and let us live. 1 Like |
