Hi all,

I just got a call from my very beautiful grandma telling me about a supposedly ebola outbreak by 6am today.(I don't know if it is an explosion she imagined)

She went on to tell me that the only way to prevent it is by bathing with salt water.

I don't know who would spread such a story in my humble villa in Owerri west LGA.

Now my distant relatives in the east have run out of salt.

God Bless Nigeria.

Its d same case here in my school at zamfara, u just have to see the pandemonium in hostels and in the town. Personally I see no sense in bathing with salty warm water in order to prevent infection by a virus as deadly as d ebola virus.
THE FEAR OF EBOLA IS THE BEGINNING OF LIFE.

My whole village is awake, town cryer going round to admonish people to bath with salt water. I thought this is insane, have to come here to look for a clue.

Now this is really scary. ( carries a bucket, and starts crying as he looks for water and salt). Wife, wake up,let's bath with water and salt.

Mine too, my landlord had to wake up every tenants just to pass the info to us. But he said we have to do it before 12a.m, without any reason. I was like, " salt....water....bathe" if it where to be a preventive measure, what happens to those who uses public transport? Would one also trake the whole day just to avoid body contacts. Another business for bitter cola and salt sellers. May God give us wisdom and see us through in Jesus name.

We gat noin to lose, jus a few spoons of cooking salt, buh salt is one of the cheapest commodity dere is. But all i know is dat salt prevents disease, its able to penetrate the skin into the bloodstream. So wake up, do ur
thing, let the water dry up on ur body, no towels, pls. Nd b healthier not just because of ebola. Nd I think Epsom salt is wat we shud b using. smiley

Fellow Nigerians, this is just paranoia taken rather too far. Please my advice is for us all to keep calm, let's not die before our time - out of fear for Ebola virus disease. By running heltter skelter (even when nothing is pursuing us) we expose ourselves to more harm.
Let's jettison ridiculous rumours and their peddlers.Let's take a chill pill and pray (if we know how to).
Nigeria ga-adi nma.
