Some fools are roaming about shouting and disturbing the peaceful atmosphere. Security operatives should have a check on them. They are constituting so much nuisance. Ignorant people. Is only in Ife that voted today throughout the State of Osun? Bunch of useless people.

Osun Poll: Omisore’s Running Mate, Obada, PDP Chairman, Lose Their Polling Units
— Aug 9, 2014
Against the acclaimed strength of many stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party in parts of Osun State, the results of the election triclking in have indicated that many of the leaders of the party lost the election in their respective polling units.

Leaders of the party such as the running mate to its governorship candidate, Hon. Adejare Bello, former Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada, the party’s chairman Gani Ola-Oluwa and others lost in their polling units in an election which many believe was keenly contested.

Bello lost the election in his Ede North polling unit where his party scored 30 votes as against that of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which polled 130 votes.

The state chairman of PDP, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa also lost the election in his Olorunda Local Government polling unit where PDP scored 95 votes as against APC’s 142 votes.

Governor Aregbesola’s APC won the election in his Ifofin Ward 08, Ilesa East Local Government where he voted with 214 to PDP’s 11 votes while the Acting Chairman of APC in the state, Elder Lowo Adebiyi’s APC trounced the PDP with 108 to 59 votes.

Former Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada also lost her Ibodi, Atakunmosa West Local Government polling unit where PDP scored three votes while the APC scored 300 votes.

As at the time of filing this report, Governor Aregbesola was coasting home to victory as he scored clear victory over Senator Iyiola Omisore in many Local Governments as poll closed on Saturday.

Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke proved his mettle as a political leader with wide acceptance in Ede North as the APC scored 640 votes as against the PDP’s nine votes.

The flag bearer of the PDP, Senator Iyiola Omisore made a strong showing in some polling units in Ife zone where he scored 149 votes in Ife Central Ward 05, Unit 01 while the APC scored 73 votes.

Olagunsoye Oyinlola where the APC scored 61 votes as opposed to the PDP that scored 125.

Equally startling was the loss suffered by former GovernorThe election which was preceded by massive clampdown on notable leaders and members of APC by armed security operatives who invaded their residences after nightfall to arrest them was conducted under peaceful atmosphere in many towns.

Leading lights of APC had on Thursday obtained an interlocutory injunction from an Ile-Ife High Court presided over by Justice A. Abdulkarim to restrain the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS) from tampering with their fundamental human right pending the determination of the main suit.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had made good its promise to ensure that election materials arrived polling units on time while voting started as scheduled in many local governments.

Initial failure of INEC to make identification tags available for APC agents nearly disrupted the poll in over 100 polling units across the state which INEC resolved upon complaints by leaders of the state ruling party.

If these people can lose their polling units, where are the fake results coming from?

APC members should not jubilate at all except they are celebrating being defeated by PDP.
