By some big pharmaceutical coy somewhere! Ebola didn't just happen! These people have been researching on this virus for long! It's a pity we (Africans) can't fight back! We are always at the receiving end of any (negative) outbreak! They don't want to fight with guns n bombs anymore, they want bio-weapons! And they are test running their project on us all!
Du.mbo! SARS, Avian flu e.t.c are more effective biological weapons. Stop being paranoid. You should hold your leaders responsible for not financing drug research. Sometimes just read and think for yourself.

oluafolabi: Mumu. There is no money to be made from Ebola that's why big pharmaceutical companies aint investing in the research for the cure. Pharmaceutical companies still make tons of money from Cancer (which still doesn't have any cure) and HIV drugs. So did US create cancer too? Stop thinking from your but'thole.
Na your papa be mumu.

Sorry that is not tru, i can show you that Universities work since 15 years that they can fight ebola.
University in countries in europa search for ebola and her cousin virus marburg.

Germany build a hole new laboratory for about 15 Million USD that they can search at the University of Marburg germany.

The outbreaks in these countries are bad currently, but for the future, we can look at Uganda as a model.

The first outbreak in that country, beginning in 2000, resulted in 425 cases and 224 deaths.

The second outbreak in 2008 resulted in 149 cases and 37 deaths.
In 2011, they had a single case with no secondary spread.
In 2012, 11 cases and 4 deaths. 2012, 6 cases and 3 deaths.

It’s probably impossible to stop Ebola from spilling over into the human population, but Uganda has done a great job responding. They are able to do early detection of suspected cases in their biosafety level 4 lab in Gulu.

They alert local authorities if something is suspected, then send a task force to assist with containment. They communicate effectively with the public about what they can do, and how effective treatment in hospitals can lower the mortality rate.

They work with community leaders when a quarantine needs to be put in place.

These things can all be employed in West Africa as well, but it takes time and a lot of commitment to get such networks up and running. We need this cooperation as much as we need PPE and even more than we need “secret serums,” because it is only with prevention of new cases that this epidemic will finally die out.

It is possible someone created this virus.

hunkydory:

no it is not possible. they found out that the ebola virus was long before in Africa.
We live in a time where the people start to travel, so when an outbrake was before it was only in a small part of africa.

The first virus they found is the marburg virus the cousin virus of ebola, they found it 1967 in germany and it is named after the city of marburg where the first outbrak was, scientist died in Marburg, Frankfurt and Belgard, they got it from monkeys they get for research from Uganda.
