tuoyoojo: As we all celebrate the discharge of these patients, pls take time out to ponder on this

Who is admitting these patients, treating them and discharging dem.its certainly not GEJ, its not d min of health eida.abi na nurse or lab scientist or babalawo.dem nor give dem zmmap or nanosilver o.so who come dey do this work?

Wait o
.abi is it our "clueless","heartless","selfish doctors"?

I still dey wonder o

Meanwhile, I jus dey observe

I dey follow you observe. After spending all my years in this country, it never ceases to surprise me how Nigerians think. If only all these God-thankers, pdp patriots, apc defenders n proud nationals would stop a minute and think.
The only regulating agency/body that has EVER worked in this country since I started breathing is NAFDAC and that was only during incorruptible Dora's tenure. So if America says Nano Silver is a pesticide n Our Health Minister says some 'Nigerian based approving body that has been bought' says Nano Silver no be pesticide, rest assured its Amelica all the way.

Oh, stop flattering urselves into thinking that CNN loves to broadcast bad news about only Nigeria, Africa. CNN loves to broadcast bad news about EVERYWHERE. Other places just conceal their dirty deeds better.

So I strongly advise that we not be complacent. Better keep washing ur hands, avoiding crowd places and maintaining standard hygiene until this cup TRULY passes us over.

Ezyp:

Your point is clearly understood..but bro read the write up again and u will see that the story is sketchy...NO NAMES OF THOSE DISCHARGED, UNKNOWN TREATMENT USED, AT LEAST PICTURES OF THE DISCHARGED.. looks like the minister wants to ease tensions..why can't they come out plain..

But all the same I pray this is true and we should stop bothering ourselves what the west think.

Like seriously U expected their names published, knowing Nigerians and Africans in general with their discriminatory proclivity?

Btw, you didn't ask for names when you heard that eleven Nigerians were infected with EVD? You just BELIEVED! Because, you're a Believer as far as it has to do with evil report, right?

Ebola was not politicised like boko haram. It dosn't descriminate religion nor tribe. Imagin it started from d norther part, they would have criticised for masterming it to cause mayhem against 2015.

[s]Four more patients have been
certified clean and discharged
from the Ebola Isolation center in
Lagos after undergoing
treatment for the deadly disease.
The four patients include two male doctors, the nurse who had
earlier escaped from the isolation
center and ran to Enugu and a
female patient who was on
admission at the time Patrick
Sawyer was hospitalized at the First Consultant Hospital. The news of their discharge was
disclosed in a statement released
today by the Minister of Health,
Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu and

The most consoling part is that the nurse that ran to Enugu tested negative . I guess the guys who were quarantined as primary contacts with the nurse will also be freed.

817: The world is really wired up for bad news. When the Minister of Health announced that Nigeria has had its first Ebola Case all the news agencies carried the news in a flash. All the updates on how many people have contacted the disease was on news wires before you could blink. Now the same Minister of Health has officially announced how well Nigeria has managed Ebola resulting in 4 people being certified free of the disease. Unfortunately not one international news agency has carried the news. I think is time we realise that the western world does not think that any good will come out of Africa. What a shame!
Why I agree with you, you are missing the whole point. You can't really blame them. I did a research some years back on selling news and what I found is that Shocking News Sell better. Why? It's the human psychology that demands it and as a business person, you give what people want, not need.

Ever wonder why we are often pulled towards any shocking event and you see people talking about it for days? It's the way we are wired brother...

News agencies understand that and they are using it to their own advantage, but quite over turned and unhealthy.

Then there shouldn't be patients in Enugu then, since the nurse is free.

why? because ebola doesnt care if you are rich or poor, it can be contacted by anybody including ogas at the top, ebola cant be protected by securities unlike boko haram, so, this is the reason they have taking drastic action so far concerning the virus....this is to tell you common man life mean nothing to this people.

It's good news o, but please this announcement should be controlled oooo before we start having armed Liberian and other Liberians coming to loot our hospitals in search of the miracle. Our borders, sea ports and airports should be properly manned. I'm not being selfish, but we are talking of a disease that could kill just in a jiffy, before you close and open your eye, someone is gone.

We thank God for healing.

Re: Good News!! Four More Ebola Patients Discharged – Health Minister by kayustones: 10:54am On Aug 19, 2014
Pls Show us pictures or at least get into details of how they were cured. We are tired of lies or half truths. Who are these people trying to impress? The media should tell us the whole truth and lets know where we are heading!
We need an over reaction to this ebola matter on ground in order to check its spread (i pray it would spread no further). If it will take shutting our boarders from neighbouring countries, lets do it. If it takes halting most commercial or industrial activities across the country for some days, let do it. Enough is enough to all this show we are putting up.

Neither.....early supportive treatment will improve your survival chances with Ebola. Plus...they may have been resistant.
