Seriously, i think Mode-9's earlier projects were dope but he just fell off the moment he got into the mainstream.
I bought one of his albums by mistake last weekend and he wasn't bad at all. . . . . . grin grin grin

M.I. is fresh.
He brought something unprecedented in the Naija music industry.
Besides that. . . . .He maintains clarity and he delivers on point. . . . . . .

That's the difference between M.I and every other rapper.
He does the lyrical thing . . . but still carries everyone along with his musical artistry.
You don't need to like rap to like M.I.

He's got a good team behind him too . . . just see the way the beat rides with him, pausing when he needs to drop a major punchline.
He's the complete package.

I think he's still good. You never lose the ability to use words.
I think what you noticed only started when he decided to go head-to-head against mainstream rappers.
He's good at what he does . . . but you don't need to go out of your own turf to battle.
That's what he's doing with M.I, it's backfire, come on . . . you can't outbrag someone who's career is modelled after Jigga.

I was told he honed his skills while he was in the States.
His voice makes you wanna listen to what he's spitting. Too clear on the mic.

I agree but he should ignore senseless battles.
He cannot battle everybody poking shots at him.

Nucca couldn't stand the new kid on the block getting all the hype.
It is very natural for him to wanna protect his territory but that territory has been taken over since M.I. did "Anoti"
That "Anoti" track makes me laugh. Who was that dude dropping the hook? He is a proper Oshodi tout.

Mode 9 - Leaders of Tomorrow cheesy

Listen up and quit the pretence
Child labour is a criminal offence
In these parts, the law just be sitting on the fence
Hence
Many kids loose their lives in such cases
Most barely old enough to tie their shoe laces
Headline, the story in the papers got me talking
Bus knocks down little kid street hawking
That kid shoulda been in school cut the the talking
Get your butt up and lets start scuba-walking
Re: Favourite Rap Lines By Nigerian Rappers by GTay(m): 2:01pm On Nov 24, 2009
Mode 9 - Leaders of Tomorrow

Children are the worlds
Most valuable resource
And of course
Its best hope for the future
But if you send your kids street-trading every night
You're exposing them to danger of the highest height
Little kids walk the streets yelling - buy coke and sprite
That aint right!

Mode 9 - Leaders of Tomorrow

Listen up
If you cant raise them dont make em
Cos its  ridiculos to forsake em
Or watch an orphanange or a foster home take em
Infant mortality, Is on the rise rapidly
Plan your family, If you wanna live happily
Educate your kids about sex, dont be scared trust me
Its the best thing thou it sounds weird
and be careful what you do around your children
cos they copy any and every thing around them
Thats why their T.V
Should be on P.G
Never leave them idle
Make em pick up a Hobbie
I aint gonna raise my kids on Teletubbies
Teach them how to be polite
Speak well, read and write
Cos in the future they gonna take care of you
