I just think this is an unnecessary Public Display of Affection(PDA) and shouldn't be done publicly especially in a religious setting, else every married couple in a religious gathering should be allowed to kiss every now and then with no restriction. why should the priest ask them to do so. Kissing is a sexual act that should be done behind close doors and not in public. If there is nothing wrong for couples to kiss in public during their wedding, then there is nothing wrong for them to kiss afterwards in any other gathering. It's just so useless and needless.
