Charlssey:Be specific about the MMF you’re talking about please. Don’t mislead people . Thanks |

Jonathan: Stanbic MMF |
Re: Mutual Funds by Jonadull: 11:35pm On Dec 21, 2018 |
Charlssey:I doubt that . The minimum you can withdraw is N5000 does not mean you must leave N5k in your account . Abah ! I even saw it in one of the mails they sent to me sometime ago that if the total amount left in the account is less than N5k and you want to redeem it . Then you will be allowed to redeem less than N5k but then you must redeem all the remaining balance at once . |
Re: Mutual Funds by kaycodes: 2:33pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
Jonathan: I am certain that you must leave 5K In your account when making an online withdrawal or you will get an error. |
Re: Mutual Funds by Jonadull: 2:55pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
kaycodes:Wow. I never tried to withdraw all before. You’re probably right. Idk |
Re: Mutual Funds by Yem0350: 5:30pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
kaycodes:Stanbic, for instant, it is possible to withdraw all. Just type the exact amount of NAV in the redemption amount. |

Yem0350: I have withdrawn all from Stanbic GIF before and the account was left there. No issue except if they have changed rules. |

Enough of debate please. i use my ibtc MMF like a savings account and on 10 dec i withdrew funds. i do this regularly. You CAN NOT withdraw everything. You will get an error if you try to do so. You must leave N5000 minimum bal (except you apply for account closure) ~ like kaycodes said its just like the bank minimum of N1000. the good thing however, is that, the N5000 will continue to earn you interest. RealityShot:And why didn’t they include anything like that in the terms and conditions when signing up for this? I refuse to believe until I try it myself Thanks |
Re: Mutual Funds by RealityShot: 5:47am On Dec 23, 2018 |
Jonathan:lol... If they told you upfront, many like me won't have used their service... but am ok with it now...at least whenever i want to close the account, they AGREE to give it back to me. |
Re: Mutual Funds by r4blessing: 5:51am On Dec 23, 2018 |
Guys u are allowed to withdraw all your money if u want to. The error that usually comes up is if u try to withdraw and leave a balance below 5k. If for instance u have 10,000.26 and u try to withdraw 10,000 only, u will get an error message but if you withdraw the entire amount including the decimals it will go through and your account will have a zero balance and it doesn't mean u can't subscribe again if you want to. 5k is their minimum balance that can yield interest. That's just what they are trying to tell you. 10 Likes |

There is difference between withdrawing and closing your account. You can't withdraw all funds but can get all your money if you decide to close your account. |

I am just logging in after a while. For Stanbic IBTC MMF, the available balance shown on the app is all yours and you can withdraw all. I did just that in June. The reason you might be getting error is that your last subscription must not be touched until it is 1 month matured otherwise you will be charged a penalty. So, if you are not considering the penalty and you want to redeem all... You get an error. The bank has removed all charges, and taxes, before posting your available balance which also includes an automatic interest. 2 Likes |

r4blessing: True. I tried to reach their customer care and they gave me a call. Amongst all I asked them was if I can withdraw all my money and they told me yes. Please they told me some daily interest yields upto 20% some days. For those who have invested with them, is it true? |
