MY KIND OF LIE.

Has anyone ever told you my kind of lie?
Surely you must had heard a man say
nowhere else but your arms he’d love to die,
claiming his Life was in your hands.

Must have heard the cliché “I’ll cross the ocean for you”
The Promise to catch a grenade for you
Jump in front of the train for you
we all know too well the last suicidal line

A crafty old man once lied to himself
said he wanted a woman beside him when all his dreams came true
Then he said he wanted her to be his angel
A terrible request since angels must not be Kissed or held

“without you, there’s no me?” oh Please
I roll my eyes at that old fib.
Two hearts that beat as one? Really?
Has anyone ever checked?

He might say “I’m lost without you”
when he’s right in front of you, not on a lost and found list!
or he’ll say he “Can’t live without you”
Yet he’d been alive and kicking long before you met

“You take my breath away”,
Yet he finds enough air to tell his fable
Bob said all his cards were on her table
turns out Marley laid cards on ten tables

He’d say you’re the treasure he seeks
Just before leaving to his work station for weeks
I can’t sleep, can’t eat, can’t cook, can’t bathe,
you complete me, like toothbrush and toothpaste.
The one I live for, the one I will die for
A man stands at the altar of his third wedding
and has effrontery to say “you and me forever”
Without adding the clause “maybe”? Scoffs.

Surely you’ve heard very many lies
However Regard few of mine!
First I’ll refrain from using the words “promise, Love and Forever”
They have been made incredible with overuse by liars

Now, I’m saying you’re my dream
everything else is what I want beside me when YOU - my dream comes true
I’ll be the grenade that blows your mind till there’s nothing left.
Set you on fire in the shower just to prove our flame will never go out

I’ll be your nightmare so you see me by default in your sleep
And yet be set as your homepage all day long
Be your accuser, sorcerer and wizard
So you’ll worry what I’ll think before you do anything.

You won’t have the keys to my heart
I bet you know why, I’ve made sure of that
Nevertheless you would decide my sanity or otherwise
Please be warned, you don’t want me insane.

I will decide my own happiness if you don’t mind
However since my happiness depends wholly on yours
I MUST do ALL in my power to make you happy
Even if it means Pumping you full with laughing gas.

So it’s best you don’t push me with silent treatment and long faces.
All I have isn’t yours, Don’t let courts or lawyers tell you otherwise
However, since you know Newton’s third law of motion
Then it’s safe to say I’m yours, do with me whatever you will.

So there, My lies.
But what if they are not lies, maybe I mean every word
It will take a life time to prove these claims
Time I’m most willing to give
