Yes Andy will leave when we have a worthy replacement not an "Ndukwe".

Ndukwe was never useful to Anambra when he was in Abuja as an NCC boss so we do not expect him to change now. He just want ride on our back again to Abuja. It will never happen!

Well, I don't know who Ndukwe really is but the man I know is UBA who has been absolutely useless to my constituency.

I am from Uga, so am in the better position to enlighten you who is an outsider. Go up and read what i wrote about what Andy did during Obj.

Mopolchi:
Despite Uba being in senate, there is no infrastructural improvement in Uga to say the least, let alone Anambra.

Yes I saw that but that the situation is different now. He is no longer in a position to suggest but to do and he has been lacking there.

Ndukwe will be in the Senate after appeal. We tend to have short memory about Ndukwe, He is a good man & a true Omanbala Man!. Ndukwe is a fine gentleman & For Andy Uba, I don't think he is from Anambra State! or if he is truly from Uga as he claimed to be,What stops him from bringing any developmental projects to the community?.Do you think Andy can win Uga Town talk less of the whole Anambra South senatorial district?.He only appears on election time & disappears after wards!.Do you remember Reltel Communication Company owned by Annie Okonkwo!. Do you know how it come to be?.Who do you think gave it to Chief Okonkwo?.Pdp knows that
They didn't win Anambra Central & South senatorial areas!.Omanbala people are now pro-active in Politics!.

lol... I'm from Anambra South, The Uba family is very popular in Anambra South, nobody knows ndukwe there. it would be foolhardy to believe Ndukwe has any chance of winning both the election and courts. I think the only place Apga should focus on reclaiming is Anambra central.

Anambra Teacher Wins Maltina Teacher-Of-The-Year

The quest for the best teacher in public secondary schools in Nigeria came to a glorious end at a grand ceremony in Lagos on Monday as a 37-year-old teacher from Anambra State, Rose Nkemdilim Obi, emerged winner of the maiden edition of the Maltina Teacher-of-the-Year.
Obi, who is equally a daughter of a teacher, teaches Mathematics and Chemistry at the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha.
The year 2000 graduate of Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, Anambra State beat nine other finalists to the coveted prize.
The 10 finalists, who slugged it out at the final lap, were the winners from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Borno, Delta, Ebonyi, Imo, Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States
.

The first runner-up was Binta Mohammed Lawan of Federal Government College, Maiduguri, Borno State.
Lawan’s counterpart from Akwa Ibom State, Daniel Sunday Udiong, emerged as the second runner-up.
The award instituted by Maltina, the non-alcoholic malt brand from the stable of Nigerian Breweries Plc, is courtesy of Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund.

It is aimed at restoring the pride of teachers and the dignity of the teaching profession.
For their effort, the national winner got N1 million, which will be paid into her account annually for five years.
Obi will also be sent abroad for professional training on the bill of Nigerian Breweries/Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, just as the Federal Government College Onitsha, Obi’s school, has also become an instant beneficiary of a block of six classrooms.
The first runner-up got N1 million plus another N500,000 finalists’ prize money, while the second runner-up took N750,000 and another N500,000 for getting to the finals.

Speaking after her declaration as winner, Obi, who spoke ex-tempore for more than 10 minutes, dedicated her victory to God and her fellow teachers.
She also thanked Nigerian Breweries for the great honour and motivation done to teachers and the teaching profession.
She said: “Teaching is a noble profession.

“It is a calling and it is a commitment to building the nation.
“I thank God today for my life and I thank Nigerian Breweries for restoring the dignity and pride of teachers.”
In his welcome remark, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries, Nicolaas Vervelde, explained that the company operates with a philosophy of “winning with Nigeria” and has championed causes that add value to the society since its inception in 1946.
Vervelde said: “In 1994, we raised the profile of our support of the education sector when we established the Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund to enable us to contribute to the development of the sector.
“Everywhere in the world, teachers play a vital role in sustainable national development by training, coaching and modelling, which is critical to determining the quality of education.”

Vervelde added that the valid entries received were subjected to an intensive selection and judging process by an independent, external panel of judges to ensure transparency, credibility and objectivity.
The Panel of Judges, which comprised eminent Nigerian academics and professionals, was chaired by Prof. Pat Utomi, the Founder/CEO of Centre for Values in Leadership.
Others included Mopelola O. Omoegun, Professor of Education, University of Lagos; Prof. Thomas I. Ofuya, Vice Chancellor, Wellspring University and Member, Committee of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities; as well as Olusegun Adeniyi, Chairman, Editorial Board, ThisDay Newspapers.
Other members are: Dr. Abdulrahman Binta Fatima, National President of the All-Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools; and Prof. Tijjani Abubakar, Dean, Faculty of Education, Ahmadu Bello University.
The race for Maltina Teacher-of-The-Year started on May 20, 2015 and generated unprecedented interest from teachers across the country.
The initiative, with prizes worth over N50 million annually, is to reward commitment and diligence to duty by exceptional teachers across the country.
Kufre Ekanem, Nigerian Breweries Corporate Affairs Adviser, explained that through this initiative the company can inspire this nation to accord our teachers their deserved credit and bring back respect to the teaching profession in Nigeria.
Ohiwerei is the first indigenous Chairman of the leading beverage conglomerate, which has been operating in the country since 1946.
The Trust Fund was established in 1994, with a seed capital of N100 million, to contribute to the development of educational sector in the country.
Over the years, the company has used the fund to assist over 20,000 students, built over 250 classrooms and 22 libraries in both primary and secondary schools across 49 communities in the country.

Just saw this interesting interview with Dr Emeagwali when he visited Jamaica in 2001. Very articulate guy!

He spoke of his harrowing experiences as a young boy during the war, and the interviewer -who first acknowledged all his accomplishments for which he's been severly abused by his own so-called compatriots back home- wanted to know how he went through all that and yet managed to come out stronger and achieve all he had achieved thus far!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W38a49eha90

Watching the video, it dawned on me that there's a common denominator that marks most successful individuals from Anambra state....and that's having a bullish, never-say-never, battling-against-the-odds kinda spirit! If you've read most of the success stories of some Anambrans you too would have noticed this common-thread that joins them all together......quite different from those born on easy street, with a golden spoon in their mouths, and handed everything to them on a platter!

I would prefer that Onwa be appointed minister of works so that he can ensure that this Onitsha-Enugu road is completed and the 2nd Niger Bridge too. He can do a yeoman job in that portfolio. I also love his carriage and attire (His kangol cap, shorts and staff). Onwa i ga-ana etiri umu Naijeria.

He is too energetic to be sandwiched to the dustbin of history. He is a good pick from Anambra and will deliver, having been tested in executive position. Somehow, that is where he is supposed to be not the legislature. Hopefully he gets a portfolio where executions and actions take center stage not like women affairs ministry

Somebody somewhere is calculating how much value his investment for himself using Anambra money in Sabmiller brewery will yield him against the backdrop of the recent takeover or call it merger if you may. At the same time doling peanuts to all the Holy Cross, Immaculate, Queen nursery and primary school he could find perhaps he could continue to garner some relevance by playing a religious man and a philanthropist. Anything short of the Crook returning a good sum to Anambra State coffers is a futile exercise at his battle for relevance

It's always good to hear from you... The problem with obi is he thinks he is smarter than us all, or so his social media team makes him believe... I know he will be seriously averse to this Ngige appointment having tried tooth and nail to be made one under GEJ. He is about to be "sandwiched to the dustbin of history" this time. It is not a bad news. Ndukwe is useless. He spent all the time as NCC boss but he didn't attract any single thing to Anambra. He failed the election in the first place because most people never knew he was an Anambran.

Go to Awka and see a gigantic federal government Plant for the producing of Vehicle plate number. It is only 3 in Nigeria- Abuja, Lagos and Awka. It was attracted by Chidoka. All the FRSC vehicle plate number that are being used in the SE and SS are produced and supplied from Awka Production Plant.

Go to Agulu and see a beautiful massive NAFDAC Regional Laboratory Complex attracted by Akunyili. It is only 2 in Nigeria: Lagos and Anambra

Let Uba continue until we see a better replacement.

Laughing out loud
I am not sure Chief Odenigbo will agree with you, he will strangle you if you are within his reach. Soon his eyes will open like Beremx who has come to realizing that Rochas would have been better as a showbiz man than occupying the Seat of Imo State Government just like Obi would have done very well as a special assistant media and publicity to Mrs Patience Jonathan rather than a Governor

It will be a miracle for Buhari to appoint an Igbo person the minister of works. He won't even agree to give minister of health talk more of works.
I am expecting minister of national planing or minister for productivity or minister of culture and tourism . Those types of useless ministries grin

Yes Ngige is widely loved in Anambra, he is the only person that could win elections in Anambra with an ACN party against APGA and late Prof Akunyili, Although I supported him during the elections even in APC, I knew contesting under the APC platform was stretching the love anambra people had for him.
