Owing salaries? That's not true. No Federal worker (except those with irregularities in their biodata with IPPIS or those who fail to show up for verification exercises) is being owed salary.

Sometimes, promotion arrears might be delayed before being payed but eventually you will get your entitlements.

About striving to make ends meet.....that's totally subjective, so it might be true. Two officers on the same rank may be collecting same salary but one might be living more comfortable than the other who is probably servicing a loan or has more mouths to feed.

Thank you sir I really appreciate your contribution โ˜บ๏ธ

So as per promotion goes up your money too skyrocket Abi ๐Ÿค”

Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. But nobody remembered that poor man. So I said, โ€œWisdom is better than strength.โ€ But the poor manโ€™s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.

Take heed. You started with......

That assumption in bold that you cannot substantiate. The discussion was not in anyway directed towards or saying people in private sector not doing well. You had to advance your narrative to propagate your agenda.

Fine and the thread remain strong on that aspect.

I know you are not dealing with mad people here whose mental state need to be called into question. See your words in bold again. In reality not everyone working with UBA as starters gets or earn over 250 monthly.

I don't know where you get the all jobs in civil service are better than jobs in private sector. The majority of the information from 1G to 100G are majorly from the same only lazy, myopic civil servants and those doing well in the private sector need those information to come and join the same lazy, myopic civil servants in the various establishment they work now. grin

And that person still made a valid point which you attest to be correct by stating 15 years ago. Reality says some still pay that amount today.

They earn enough to still come to this platform to look for job and buy slot under NCC, NNPC, NMDPRA, NUPRC, NIA, NDIC . We know they are doing quite well in the private establishment to have the financial capacity to buy those slots.

Provide the 1001 companies and numbers of those that are jobless on this thread. Substantiate your point. grin grin grin

You want to see money used as designer clothing or what? grin grin When you see Mark Zuckerberg, Dangote and the rest, what is that spectacular thing that is present? I want to know. grin

All the initial talk fell flat based on the above in bold. All man to his wish means man don't wish fellow man earning 130k to have suicidal thought because he is not earning much more. When God does good things to an individual and that individual didn't show appreciation, it is like thieves carting away ones belongings. We are all here to reason with one another not swallow different utterances hook line and sinker.

Since the system, institution and the way the government run it made it so.

The government still care about it and will still implement wage rise this year just as they have done over the years grin grin grin

And you told us someone moved from EFCC to MTN grin grin grin MTN is definitely not a serious organization. Many of the private owned university needs the expertise of personnel scattered all over the government owned institutions to run well grin

The bold cannot be substantiated. The clamour for wage increase and allowance says whatever you admit up there are your narratives.

Even specialised organization under government organisation wants better pay and the rest grin

Reality tells me the productivity found in those not lazy private establishment are the works of the civil servants. You have to understand the productivity allowed by those who employed them are met based on the the system put in place by their employers.

Honestly the guy is just going off point. Nobody is saying 150k is a big money. We were just arguing on the chances of clinching a high income job compare to nigeria average montly salary. Yes. I told him to google me to clarify his claim about my personality. And I will repeat , I have earn millions in private sector. Do you know how much it takes to sponsor yourself in Nile university of Nigeria . They couldn't even complement the point of argument.

So she said she was told to report on 3rd January! So Iโ€™m guessing she must have gone half way since she already has a resumption date. Thatโ€™s for NUPRC. Yeah Iโ€™m sure they have seen it, i was just making it clear that โ€˜Iโ€™ havenโ€™t.

Good afternoon bro, were you be able to get info from her concerning the recruitment?

Greetings. I've been following this thread with keen interest. Many thanks to every contributor.

Please I need your candid advice. I'm a Bsc holder currently working with a private organization where I earn 230k monthly. I'm now being offered immigration job, level 8.
Should I quit my current job and pick this up?? Is it worth it??

There are so many reasons we join Nairaland forum and one of it is to learn and equally help others learn

Honestly the guy is just going off point.

That's the main point of responding to his post since all others supporting his point of view built their response on it.

Nobody is saying 150k is a big money.

Reality on ground tells me that's still a big money to earn as salary going by what is available around. It some years of work or service to get to that figure. It took others added professional qualifications and certifications to get there. This reminds me of those collecting salaries during COVID 19. Ask them what they achieved while sitting at home for six months and over doing nothing with the pay coming in as usual with no distractions of going to work everyday or paying school fees and the rest. Some of them realized the full value and essence of pay they get while working. grin grin grin Even those wey dey collect 30k under npower know what it feels like to collect that amount.

We were just arguing on the chances of clinching a high income job compare to nigeria average montly salary.

At least no one is here to tell anyone not seek for better position or advance in their endeavours. We all seek growth and development but we cannot grow or develop based on threat of suicide. One cannot grow by thinking of suicide. E no go work grin grin

Yes. I told him to google me to clarify his claim about my personality.I have earn millions in private sector.

You don't even have to do that. What did he do with than to try rubbish whatever you are driving at using that same point. The reasons that made me respond to that post are the following captured there

1. some unemployed dudes here rubbish

2. Only lazy, myopic civil servants or people who have never worked anywhere will think all jobs in civil service are better than all jobs in private sector

3. these guys are jobless and will stand on their ignorance than admit they know nothing

4. so I don't sound condescending.

5. the civil service are redundant, that's why they don't care about the wages

6. A lot of these civil servants cannot thrive in serious private organisations that mean business.

7. mentality some of you exude here is why some people insist that civil service jobs are for the lazy unproductive folks

Do you know how much it takes to sponsor yourself in Nile university of Nigeria . They couldn't even complement the point of argument.

The need to earn money can colour the wisdom required to do so and the wisdom needed to protect the one earned so far grin grin
