This is the singular reason i dont like going to the hospital. Because most hospital workers are supposed to be carpenters and bricklayers.

and the way they are heartless ehhhh??

i was gisting my mum about the labour process of my daughter.
after telling her how my midwife was massaging my waist to help reduce
the pain, giving me magazines to take my mind of, just how nice they were,

my mum started crying, she said she felt bad dat my husband wasnt with me because
she thought the midwives will be nasty to me.

the she recounted her experience of my birth, how she was left there on her own because the midewife said
it was taking too long.
it was only wen they heard me crying that they rushed in to help .

some of those pple have no heart.

Yes o. Even said its possible it extends till Thursday cos of the crowd there.
IMO we should bombard the doctor with calls so as to rush up his case. Or if anyone can help go see the doctor or got link there, would be helpful
I just got off the phone with the doctor, dude said he left the hospital by 11am and can't say anything about that. He was very uncooperative and I ended up not getting the little info I requested viz: how is OP?
I politely ended the call to avoid saying a wrong thing. I've followed this thread from the word go and won't relent till the Op is well. Please my fellow kindhearted Nairalanders, check on Op if u live around the hospital, I get palpitations each time I come online for updates.

Can people know definitively what is being done before more money is sent?

When it is known what the family plans to do exactly and what the doctor is actually doing before sending any more money. I am saying this because people may get heartbroken if this hospital Abeokuta / Oyo turns out to be money down the drain and may negatively affect others who need help in the future.

People are contributing money and emotions. The initial request was for Luth and others suggested other good hospitals suddenly its a rural medicine specialist who obviously runs a one man show that is the option.

Please no more money, let us know what is being done, how much is needed and a way forward
TEHN would have handled it perfectly as they have been doing for years, but as it is, admin has banned some of the top execs so there is nothing they can do for now.

If some people can volunteer to do a follow up, I believe the picture will be clearer.

He is fine. He is on medications. Slept peacefully and woke up with no pain. Really glad they brought him to that hospital. Proper treatment starts tomorrow morning. He is being treated with care and lots of attention.

@Busybody....I hear you. That's the problem with these medical institutions.....some are like vampires....will bleed every kobo out of you then watch you in the eyes and say they have done all that is medically possible.

from googling facts about this hospital, I think DJ should be somewhere better equipped, but again, his family reserves the right to choose where he gets care, after all they didn't sign any pact before getting donations from NLanders.
its rather unfortunate but all we can do is hope he will be helped soon enough

Thanks everyone, I guess we'll have to wait till he's examined by the doctor before making decisions.

@cramjones, wow! You have a big heart! I'm touched that u can drop your political affiliations to care. Though I still don't agree with your political stance but I do respect you.

@berem, Obiageli, jmaine, anonimi, omenka, egift, barcanista, sincere9jerian and all political e-warriors, emulate cramjones in this.

@OP we're ready to support you, physically, financially, religiously and otherwise and you shall come out of this smiling.

Re: I Need Help by Oduduwaboy(m): 12:12am On Nov 11, 2014
What is the diagnosis? Ascites is only a symptom of the disease...and i believe DJDOLA should have stayed in LUTH , one of the foremost medical institutions in the country rather than going to Dr Awojobi in Eruwa. Well , he is a good doctor but he is also getting old. Wish the OP all the best with him.
Re: I Need Help by Nobody: 12:12am On Nov 11, 2014
I pray things turns out positively for DJDOLA tomorrow, but should in case the treatment is beyond that abk hospital.. I seriously pray the doctor will not refuse to say so and just keep him there and collect their money..even if he knows he can't treat him. Y'all know how selfish some few doctors can be.. So I just pray it turns out well..

But as far as I'm concerned this guy should be in LUTH, UCH or even flown abroad.. this is critical I keep repeating it!

Ok Dr Awojobi (eruwa) is a certified medical doctor..in fact I read he was the best graduating medical student in U.I (UCH). But you see this guy runs his clinic in such a way as to reach and cater for the rural dwellers who might not afford expensive health care. So he comes up with the innovation of using crude equipment to cut cost, as well as not employing enough doctors on ground, he's the only one. while that is not a bad thing..it can't work for some certain illness..

This is not a place where Chronic Liver Diaease should be referred!!!!!! I'm so afraid damnn
