Redomi: Anyway, you may be right, but I don't think I am underfeeding my birds, they will be three weeks old on Tuesday, and I am on the fourth bag you may or may not be underfeeding them, the only way you'd find out is by getting their average weight. |
Agriculture › Re: Xmas Broiler Broading In Pictures by 1b8m: 12:43am On Sep 20, 2020 |
Redomi: I don't have scale to measure their weight, but you can imagine how big they should be if women selling chicks in the street could be begging me to sell for them at #900 at two weeks. I trust the feed I am using and I trust my feeding plan. at 3weeks, you should use about 5bags of feed else you'll be underfeeding. Below is a standard performance chart for Ross 308. You'll notice that at 21 days they recommend 1218g (i.e 1.218kg) cummulative feed consumption for a chick. Multiply that by your 91birds, you should get 110.838kg. Divide this by 25kg/bag and see if you're underfeeding or not. The best way to check your progress is by weighing at intervals.

aremuforlife: It's a pity, our people will never support our government in any challenge against a threat from the international body. Just like it it stayed in the article above, you can't just sit in your country and decide to sanction anybody for a misdeeds without following the right channel, it is disrespectful and should not be allowed. If as an international observer, you have any evidence of election rigging or misdeeds, you forward your evidence to the right channels and do a follow up. go and cry in front of the white house. When you say "our" people, what do you mean? Is it the dead nigeria, about to be interred? |

Agriculture › Re: Xmas Broiler Broading In Pictures by 1b8m: 8:11pm On Sep 18, 2020 |
Redomi: Haaa, that's too much for 51 chicks. I'm on the third bags. They will be 3 weeks old on Tuesday. I will buy two more bags for their 4th week. And my birds are 91 in total i estimated 10bags for the 6weeks I'm going to raise them. My target is atleast 2.5kg average live weight. About your feeding, are you sure you're not underfeeding them? From what I learnt from experienced people like emmaachile and turks, 100birds would consume atleast 20bags of feed in 8weeks. Breaking that down, the 1st 4weeks should take about 6bags of starter while the remain 4weeks should take 14bags. If you're at your 3rd bag at 3weeks, you may be underfeeding those 91 birds What's the average weight of your birds and please Could you share a picture of your birds? |

Agriculture › Re: My Journey Into Poultry Business by 1b8m(op): 6:34pm On Sep 18, 2020 |
mcdokwe: Of course it gives great joy to see your birds respond to this particular style of feeding, the only downside is the market. The pricing most time is soul dampening. I'd rather process and sell. I perceive its profitable that way |
