Finally. Thank God. We did it with our small 1k widow's mite. Our healthcare system is such a disgrace while those who are supposed to pressure them into working are on each other's throats over the acronyms APC, PDP and other useless ones. For every Sadiq Daba that's gotten help from Nigerians, there are thousands of others rotting away in squalid conditions, alone and unknown.
Completely on point thank God that we could achieve this at least.
Politics › Re: The Cost Of The 8 Statues Rochas Okorocha Built In Imo Is N500,000 Each by 1miccza: 3:23pm On Nov 24, 2017

The real question to ask is, where did the figure come from?... Where did the N600million figure originate from? Anyone could just sit behind their laptop and claim N10billion was spent on christmas tree. Was the figure picked up from a budget document or was it from some gutter blog?..

With the rate at which any idiot can just churn out any report online and call it news, do you spare a second to consider how incredulous a figure sounds before even dignifying it with arguments?... Same way someone claimed $90billion was recovered from 1 person and people started discussing the nonsense with 'utmost seriousness'
You're not wrong there again too, but the question should be why has someone on the opposite side not come out to straighten out these figures?? This also shows clearly that the masses have constantly been fed with hogwash and a whole lot more.

But again from a personal experience if a former office holder from the previous administration in this state could get a ''thank you'' package of 5 million and wave it off like a chicken change , i think these figures might add up too. Just saying.

Whilst the statues still remain unnecessary and whilst I still believe a more substantial sum must have been pocketed in the moulding of those statues (definitely more than N500k), it still remains a fact that a lot of Nigerians are just too dumb for either generating or spreading that N520million silly story. How could any human with a sound mind actually think a statue cost N520million?
You would be surprised at the miracles that our politicians can perform when it comes to finances , have you forgotten that he couldn't defend the purchase of a christmas tree for 600million??

Miss Balogun asked them to show transcripts of the conversation since yesterday, still waiting for proof.
Thanks for showing your investigative spirit jare.. Most people just jump into any thread and post comments, this government clearly has some paid agents on sites like Nairaland whose job is to disseminate unconfirmed reports, not just the government, celebrities, politicians etc, a learned person would go to Tutu and Abike Dabiri's page and follow their exchange.

and the average man on the streets. When we change our mindset, then, and only then can we have leaders who reflect who we are as a people.

God knows I love Nigeria but in my next life I don't want to be born anywhere near Africa, talkless of Nigeria. It's like the black man is operating under a very ancient, esoteric and mysterious curse.

Gernot Rohr needs to be investigated and sanctioned appropriately by FIFA.

He is ruining our beautiful game of football by engaging in Match Fixing.

We all know this match was fixed.
From Messi's absense to Aguero's exit.

Shame on Nigeria for stooping so low as to resort to Match Fixing for an ordinary friendly.

13. THE KNEE SPLITTER

The victim's knee was placed between the spikes and the handle turned so that they pierced the skin, broke the knee and then, if a confession wasn't forthcoming, eventually tear their leg apart, leading to an excruciatingly painful death.

12. THE SPANISH TICKLER

Suffice to say there's nothing ticklish about this instrument. Victims would be tied up and then 'stroked' with this claw-like device. Apart from gradually skinning them alive, victims who survived often died a slow death due to infections caught from these dirty devices.

11. THE RACK

The rack is a torture method that sums up mankind's depravity... Victims were attached by their arms and legs to a wooden frame fitted with rollers. The rollers were turned in opposite directions causing their limbs to break off and fracturing their spine. Numerous racks have found their way into museums - just looking at them is enough to send shivers down your spine.

10. THE CATHERINE WHEEL

Ever wondered why Catherine Wheels often feature in firework displays? Well, they're derived from a method of torture where the victim was attached to a wheel that was then set on fire and left to roll down a hill. If the victim survived this ordeal, they were left attached to the wheel so that insects and birds could gnaw away at their flesh.
