"subtle racism" are always hard to prove most especially in work place environment. By the time you write your "detailed report", how do you want to explain the subtle racism? Because you can't weigh it against using a "swear word" in a work place. They will say you have esteem issues and moreover you should have reported to the teamlead when the issue started.

Sometimes it's good to over look some things other people so far it doesn't result to physical harm. It helps to overcome so many obstacles.
