Simple matter there. People would decide what they want want to keep quiet about. Company have decided they are charging her. The court will determine if defamation have occured not we citing examples of what happens in so called advanced countries.

She should not fidget and we should not get emotional on her behalf too.
Where is the defamation?

Have you ever tried building anything in your life from scratch until it grows to as big a level as you have Erisco foods? Then someone just crawled out from their hole to try and rubbish all your years of hardwork? If that happens to you and you are still asking the kind of question, then we will try and answer your questions.

Their are rights and limitations to every right in a democracy. She went overboard in excersising her freedom of expression by defaming the company. Then company decides to take it up and all the time she was in detention, it was a court remanding her. So cant understand how some of us say her detention was illegal.

Even here on Nairaland and social media, some talk recklessly and carelessly not minding the consequences. People like you will watch and clap for them. Then when they are asked to come and defend their positions, you whip up cheap sentiments.
It's funny how you have the gall to bring up sentiments when that's exactly what you did in your first paragraph. Do you think there is any business on earth that doesn't have negative reviews? Do you think any business is above criticism? Is Erisco God that cannot be blasphemed?

What do you this is?

Chioma didn't defame anything. Her comment that the product was "killing people" was simply an exaggeration and figure of speech. You guys know this but want to be mischievous and obtuse.

Travel to a working country. REFUNDS and DISCOUNTS are given for negative reviews. Nobody goes to prison.

Travel to an advanced country and experience sanity.

Oh really? You need to travel to a sane country. They give people back REFUNDS and DISCOUNTS for negative reviews. That's what's called CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Well, you don't know if her husband was denying her sex at home. There is something he isn't doing. He shouldn't allow other men to break his home.

Does he remain neat the same way he approached her?

They work under the table.

Also, to beat attendance, they give their mates their cards to swipe for them but the schools are becoming smarter now.
This is serious. I never knew the deception was this organised.

Those trolling her was the problem but she was no slacker herself. She gave it back to them with the same pressure ...

She didn't seem overwhelmed..

Do you not know how to respond to a greeting 😐
No it isn't. Not when they knew she was engaged. Most women don't enjoy being PMed we see it as a nuisance. You need to understand that women don't care about attention, if it's not from the guy we want.

Afternoon.

Wrong .. She left because she was getting married and was going to start a family ...

I think she stated that like a millionth times ..

Although, she did get angry and those were due to trolls ...

Morning kiss
Lol. Even with that alot of NL men would still PM her, they didn't care. Some of them will even ask her to hook them up with south african women. How overwhelming she must have felt.

MT:
To start with, it is an ignorant statement to compare UK, which is a member of G7 ( the seven richest countries in the world), to third world countries.

Two, if students go abroad, ignoring Nigeria universities, I don’t expect the FG to help in any capacity. It’s their choices and they must be able to fund it anyway. The damage that such a capital flight caused to Nigeria economy, putting immense pressure on the Naira, could not be imagined.

We all know over 80% of the students are bogus students. They just migrate using the students route as a cover. They do not have any money saved for the purpose to pay tuition fees. Their reasoning was that they would raise the tuition fee abroad by working abroad.

The worst part of it is that , most students are paying third party to do their assignments for them. If these students write exam, most of them would fail. I assisted two friends and they graduated with distinction in tech based master courses. I warned them that it would backfire but they put pressure on me to help them so they wouldn’t fail the courses, Today, they are working in care homes because they don’t have capabilities to get a job in the tech industries. Tuition fees gone to waste.
But how are they getting away with this? Once an international student fails to attend classes, they are reported to immigration. And the hours they work with a student visa is limited. Japa via student route seems like hardwork.

They never had the school fees in the first place, most of them hoped to start working immediately they got there, unfortunately work isn't easy to find in the UK with restricted hours to students
Yeah. That's the way I see it, they wanted to use the student route to japa. It's an expensive route to japa sha.

@Magnificenttop,

Your post is succinctly stated.

My concern is just that with half-truths and outrightly forged historical information being deliberately and regularly posted by these creeps online and offline to tarnish other ethnicities' histories, CLEAR facts like the 4 academic screenshots that I have attached to my last post debunking the claims of these youngsters among the Ibos have to be sustained by more enlightened folks instead of being aloof.

There is well documented evidence from Reverend George Basden (who lived in Onitsha as a respected Missionary for years) who wrote a book titled "Among the Ibos of Southern Nigeria" showing that Ibos were head hunters and ate human beings for food (based on the confessions of some of Ibos who converted to the new White man's religion told him). Rev. George Basden said areas to the East of Onitsha ate human beings for food even well into the 1900s and the British Colonialists created a "HEAT MAP" showing the ethnic groups in Southern Nigeria that ate humans for food and the IBO areas featured prominently.

A gory episode involving Doctor Stewart, a White British-born medical doctor who was riding a bicycle in the Mbaise area of today's Imo State in 1906 is well known in history. The White man (Doctor Stewart) who lost his way while in a group was killed and his human flesh was eaten, with his bicycle tied to a tree to "prevent" it from "escaping." This is the episode that led to the British forces organizing a punitive expedition to deal with the Mbaise people for the killing and eating of the flesh of the White doctor. This Doctor Stewart's cannibalism story was also used by Achebe in his book Things Fall Apart. But the Mbaise killing of that White man was NOT a fiction, but it happened historically in 1906 and was even reported in New York Times based on archival documents I have seen. The Anioma communties, Edos, Yorubas, Igalas, etc, had NO cases of eating human beings OR cannibalism on that Cannibalism Distribution map. Sir. Allan Burns who was the Acting-Governor General of Nigeria also Indicated in his famous book "History of Nigeria" that the advanced civilizations before 1900 were Oyo Empire, Benin Empire, Sokoto, and Kanem Borno Empire of the Kanuris.

The Ibos were prominently classified as part of the primitive societies or cultures of Nigeria in Sir. Allan Burn's book, so, how the hell will these overbearing, highly dishonest creeps who are being BRAINWASHED by their Ibo secessionist Websites and propaganda be bragging or claiming that they are better than other ethnicities in terms of foods and more? These are the same people who are historically known to the European or British Colonialists and their immediate ethnic neighbors such as the Igalas, Bini-Edos, and Anioma communties to be notorious human flesh eaters for food as indicated in the last screenshot BELOW this post well into the 1900s, and they walked half-clothed. It's share LOW self-esteem on their part to be honest!

Please save and share the screenshots and historical facts as well showing the etymology or origin of these Yoruba words such as Egusi, Akara, Agidi, Elubo, etc, so that the younger ones and even others can be properly educated.

Cheers.
