Y?
It took concentration of our collective effort and resources to build. Did yorubas ask for your help? |

DMerciful: Yoruba nation must exit Nigeria first. As long as you're in Nigeria, every inch of Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians I hear ya..Land grabber |

hammer567: In African and Igbo culture, it is taboo for an Igbo from Anambra to lay claim to any part of Ebonyi.
That sounded greek to my ears just now.
Very UNAfrican. But it's okay to lay claims to Lagos and other faraway strange lands? |

BTW, I'm sure you're not from Lagos Yes. And I'm very certain YOU aren't. Notice how you don't see ACTUAL lagosians policing other yorubas. Stay in your lane and create the lagos you covet. If an Igbo from Anambra lays claims to Ebonyi, that's not my business, una all be Igbo. That's an Igbo family affair. |
Politics › Re: Welcome To Victoria Island by 1Sharon(f): 4:45pm On Jun 08, 2024 |
DMerciful: Victoria Island wasn't built by Yorubas one bit else they'd have replicated it in other SW states.
It was the socalled Lagos colony that has been thf colonial melting point for over 200yrs. It was built with Nigerian resources and as such Lagos belongs to all Nigerians equally.
It is this realization that Lagos has gone to Nigeria for good, that why you guys employ violence during election.
The horse has bolted from the stable...Lagos is 100% Nigerian property. Deal with it Resentful words of a covetous land grabber. No need asking where you're from. The same stock of people clamouring for a borderless South Africa. |

Konquest: Indeed... But in all these circumstances, these two should remember that an impressionable child is involved here. No matter how upset a man feels about his wife (who he is about to di orce) or baby mama, he should NEVER punish his child or starve that child of fatherly love because the child would definitely ignore his/her father's needs and wants when they become aged (over 70 years) and they even transfer that aggression to their own biological kid's as well when they get married. The whole story just reinforces the need in everyone that thoughts are things and also to live in near-absolute harmony with one another.
By the way, I found the original link of Linda's expose on Sholaye on her blog. It's right below:
=>https://m.lindaikejisblog.com/2018/12/meet-my-son-jayceand-yes-sholaye-jeremi-is-his-dad.html
Enjoy the rest of your day in London. Lol. Okay but how this isn't applicable to Linda's situation? Her son's father has intentionally edited himself from his son's life. Why should Linda give him her son his dad's surname? Why give the son a name he cannot relate to? |

Konquest: Sholaye Jeremi just lost his 74-year-old mother in the month of May 2024.
He has a lot on his hands now with this family name drama from coming from Linda's end. I wonder if Sholaye's mother ever met the little boy before she passed on.
Read more BELOW: =>https://guardian.ng/issue/oil-magnate-sholaye-jeremi-loses-mother/
I did read online from a mainstream media source where Sholaye through his media aide denied all the negative news and fake social media posts about his relationship with Linda and he stated that he has nothing to do with her while debunking the rumor that he owns an Instagram handle in the Weblink right below.
=>https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/09/28/linda-ikejis-alleged-significant-other-speaks-out/
In any event, reading her sob story in te second of two Weblink I provided in my last post to you on this thread, I absolutely think she deliberately got pregnant, and now that things didn't pan out for her in terms of marriage to Sholaye, she's been taking subtle jabs at him with her son bearing her family name.
But as things stand from what I have gathered before today, in Ibo culture, if you get one of their girls pregnant and you don't get married to her, then the child belongs to the girl's family until you pay the bride price and get married to her. That CULTURAL clash is on another level entirely tbh. Lol. It's obvious. Their relationship was just superficial. Well, if he's not acknowledging his son, why should Linda give him his surname, when she's the sole caregiver? If he wants to be a deadbeat, he can do that. But he's not entitled to pass on his name. |

Mariangeles: Separate bedrooms in marriage is nonsense! Couples who have separate bedrooms will hardly be able to resolve issues in their marriage (quickly). Whoever wants a separate bedroom in marriage is selfish and simply not ready for marriage. Hmm..how true is this? |

Konquest: "Around when I was about three months pregnant, he did come to see my parents and actually became very cool with my dad. They were literally exchanging Whatsapp messages every day. He later agreed to a traditional wedding which he didn’t follow through and then he switched. He began to treat me with so much hate and aggression that I and my family had to cut him off completely." Lol. I actually don't believe he did any of this. This is just Linda trying to make a situation seem prettier than it is. These are all Linda's words. He still hasn't said anything and there aren't leaks or stories that back up what's she's saying. It's obvious a baby was her first priority with him and she's gotten it. If she was intentful about her relationship with him, she should have made him claim her, court and marry her properly before getting pregnant. I still insist, he isn't owed the right to pass on his surname if he has washed his off hands of his son. It's justified for the boy to bear a name of people that claim and Iove him. |

Sholaye is of Itsekiri descent in Delta State (Itsekiris are a subgroup of the Yoruba folks with some Bini royal family immigration in the ancestral mix from the year 1488). Itsekiris and most African and global cultures are patriarchal, therefore children are supposed to use their fathers' family names on birth, school, and travel documents. Linda has absolutely NO right to use her own family name for her son despite the FACT that the relationship did not leading marriage. Hey, you good? So it's this man? I thought it was dismissed as a rumour. People even faked social media accounts of him, he had to even come out and say he wasn't even on social media. Yes he's rich allegedly, but that doesn't mean he has taking care of his son. Being a deadbeat, has nothing to do with money. Has he publicly claimed the boy, have they even been sighted together? Has he dismissed Linda's allegation? |
