mikeansy: I could not have said it better

This people in APGA do not realize the project at hand

Ndigbo need closure and an evolution where people are led in a movement to see themselves not as victims or the marginalized but a people who can work together and tackle our collective challenges of poverty, industrialization, creating an economic hub in the East.

The central Government of Nigeria will never do this for us, we have to do it ourselves and this is why APGA needs Soludo!
Very correct! We must be the ones to deliver our region!

Good! It will help spread out the entertainment outfit to other states like Asaba as a result of migration to locations with less stiff laws......afterall Lagos is just a market.

1oracle: I am sure you don't the facts at your disposal. Ojukwu has the highest investment outside Igbo land which he inherited from his father. But despite all that he believes that freedom is worth more than Gold and Silver. That fact only rendered your post useless and meaningless. If Biafra is dead as some people claims, what does MASSOB stand for? Must we all be in Nigeria before we can market our goods and products. We all knew it that Chinese goods and products still dominates our market today, is china part of Nigeria?
Marriage is not by force. Nigerians are deported in Nigeria by a Nigeria and people like you are still dreaming of One Nigeria. Name a country on earth today that goes with this title "ONE" before it's name except Nigeria.
The more we live in delusion of being one the more more igbos are killed in northern Nigeria and more deported from lagos and dumped under bridge by 3am in the spirit of One hypocritical Nigeria.
If what we have today is moving forward then you need to visit an oracle for cleansing because your brain is contaminated.
One Nigeria is programmed to fail. It is a product founded in deceit and it can never work.
Kindly go and read all the comments about deportation of Nigerians by a Nigerian and tell me if that is manifestation of One Nigeria.
Learn to swim with the tides....it's not easy anywhere! Even Abia and Enugu sacked my state "Imo" people from their workforce......so what are you saying? Abeg you guys have denied us so many things with this your so called MASSOB!

Ojukwu has what highest investment outside igboland? His father had and not him! I'm sure Louis died of heart-attack......I'm not blaming Ojukwu though, the war was a child of necessity then, but I'm blaming people like you that want to waste all that we've laboured to acquire for over 40yrs.....under this circumstance Ojukwu would never clamour for Biafra! We have economic dominance already, microeconomy at our grip and corporations of igbo extraction springing up all over, we need to develop our region and make it an economic hub.

Even among our people "Ndigbo" is there real unity? Just the other day I came across a thread with some fellow igbos disparaging the great Imolites and calling their girls prostitutes.....rubbish!

My guy in this jungle you just got to do your thing.....every man is on his own!
Biafra is a story that remains history to me.....it can't put food on my table! By the way how well has your "MASSOB" treated the handicapped as a result of the civil war? Most of them died as beggers while the likes of Ojukwu, Alexander Madiebo et al were pardoned and re-absorbed and retired with full nigerian military benefits. Ojukwu even contested for senator, he lost after sacrificing his father's wealth to fight for the people.

I'm a realist......I dream with my eyes wide open. I won't waste my time on some utopia! Igbos are doing excellently well in Nigeria, all they need is to industrialize our region!
PoliticsRe: MASSOB Has Outlived Its Usefulness- Comrade Agbaigba by 1soul(m): 3:20pm On Aug 19, 2013
jmoore: Biafra died when the civil war ended.
The second in command of the defunct biafra was an Efik man Phillip Effiong. Many tribes in the east supported biafra during the war.
Many Igbos are now working for the progress of Nigeria.
It is time to move on, one Nigeria!
Spot on!

The concept MASSOB was just a scam fronted to dupe the gullible ones. I have never bought the idea for ones. Even with the bombings in the north I'm still for one nigeria, we can still produce in the south and distribute to the large markets in the north. AZ's major distributor in the north is an hausa man and they've been in business for donkey years together. Some of Gobison's drivers and staff are northerners and they deliver desired result. Oasis bakery is owned by an Igboman but it's fully operated by Chinese staff.

With this kind of business model we can still hold sway in almost every part of the country without been targeted. We just have to learn how to give our business outfits a very libral appearance with no traces of ethnic ownership!

Long live nigeria! grin

coogar: MASSOB have lost their relevance and their initiatives. i doubt anyone is still obsessed with seceding in the east. people want a better life - basic amenities, quality health, food on their table and the best things in life.

Biafra died and was buried since 1970.
Very correct! Every rational-thinking-Igbo knows that our entrepreneury spirit needs a large population which nigeria provides.

If you check carefully you'd notice only the ones without any real investment outside igboland that wish to secede. Some feel it would offer them an easy access to good life. Many have wasted their productive time flogging the dead horse! To me, Biafra belongs to history!

Ngozi Edozien schooled at Philip Exeter Academy and got into Harvard where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She had her first job in industrial banking before graduating with honours from Harvard Business School. She later joined the prestigious global consulting firm, McKinsey and Company and worked in the United Kingdom and France.

She was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey before being headhunted by pharmaceutical behemoth Pfizer which made her a Vice-President of Planning and Business Development. Her exceptional performance led to her appointment as the head of Pfizer’s East, Central and Anglo-Lusophone West Africa (ECAWA) region. As the head of the ECAWA region, she spearheaded Pfizer’s push into community development programmes and new product development. She left Pfizer to head Equity Vehicle for Healthcare in Africa, an IFC/AFDB sponsored Africa-focused private equity fund that invests in Africa’s health sectors. She is currently the chief executive of Actis West Africa, a leading private equity firm.

Imo people are silent achievers.....too civilized to make noise all over the whole place! By the way ABC Transport is owned by an Imo state man.

B2 mario: Pls permit me to comment, for a very long while i've bin following this imo and anambra argument nd at tyms it meks me laugh. Anambra is gud nd imo is also gud bt remove nnewi, aguata nd ihiala frm anambra then we see wot's remaning. Igbo pple ar hardworking starting frm anambra, imo, abia down 2 ebonyi. In igboland people might see anambra as d best bt imo is very gud both in terms of education, development, indiginous expects, riches etc, imos are know to b very hardworking in all their endevour check the pple of orlu zone where u hav tony ezenna (ceo, orange drug), emma obi ( ceo, polymer company), marcel nnakwe a.k.a akukaria 1 ( ceo marcel pharmaceutical, he ws d man dt battled prof. Thanks for educating some of the fools that get blinded by unnecessary ego! And to even add to the list Chinedu that sold his site to Apple for 1billion dollars is from Imo state. Ngozi Edozien is an example of what our women are known for; excellence!

Is a shame reading the comments of fellow Igbos on this thread disparaging the Imolites just to feel a false sense of satisfaction. Now I believe "we" are getting what we deserve from other ethnic groups in nigeria! Tomorrow you expect to see a united Igboland when your psyche has been brutally molested by a "common" artificial boundry politically designed to keep us down. What are you guys hoping to achieve with the foolishness I see on this thread?

debetmx: If stating the truth is what you find insulting then I tender my unreserved apologies.

I couldn't have agreed with you enough, being crafty is a trait found in every ethnic group but you and I know the trait is mostly found amongst your people. Before you blow my head off, kindly sample people's opinion and experience with the ibo people. I must say I have met very nice ibo people who are far better than my own people but I can count them on my finger tips.

"They hate what they can't conquer". Who is trying to conquer who? Would you be kind enough to acknowledge NAS
I understand your point, but again you must come to term with the reality "good people are hard to find" I can count all the good people I know on my finger tips, and not just from one particular tribe! Bankoli, IBB, Abacha, Abdusalam, Ibori, Bode George, Obj, etc that cheated a whole generation and robbed the unborn their pleasant future are Igbos I guess! The one that hid Otedola's dollar notes inside his cap I presume is Igbo too shey?

The lies we tell ourselves continuously every now and then would find some less worthy way in neutralizing the truth we should have stood by......this lies precipitate to conscience-assassination and hate becomes the resultant output!

When I said "don't expect respect from someone you don't have respect for or better still insult" I wasn't refering to you per say......is just my analogy of the law of reciprocity on whosoever is concerned with such hypocrisy,"

"They hate what they can't conquer" comes to mind each time individuals especially of other ethnic extractions come together to do nothing but malign and spread hate on the Igbos, simply for being prosperous and accumulating wealth in their regions through hardwork and dedication.

We are good people trapped in a bad system where others do nothing but try to pull you down as though you took away their ladders to the top........only God will judge this gross hypocrisy I swear!!! One poster on here called CyberG is almost gone psychotic in his hate for anything Igbo......lol. You see him on every thread typing stuffs like "leave our land and what not mantra that ejaculatessss his fantasies"

I swear I no fit laugh!
PoliticsRe: The Unity And Oneness Of The Old Eastern Region by 1soul(m): 11:56am On Aug 06, 2013
debetmx: The earlier the ibos learn to show genuine respect for the other tribes in Nigeria, the better for them. The average ibo man thinks he is the only one favoured by God so he naturally feels he is smarter than the other person. When he owns something it is his only but when he has nothing he remembers we should be our brother's keeper. An ibo man would have N100,000.00 and would seek ways to help you spend the last N100 you have in your account. I guess that is the ibo man's idea of been hardworking and clever. And to add salt to your injury, the ibo man would find every avenue to tell it to your face. That's what he calls been competitive.
Respect is reciprocal! You don't expect respect from someone you insult at any slightest opportunity simply because he's igbo. We owe you nothing!

And talking about being crafty, it's not only an Igbo phenomenon but part of every ethnic group and race, there's good and bad people everywhere...even in your family. See how easy it was for you to generalize a whole ethnic group with your jaundiced points of view and ideological perspective.

**They hate what they can't conquer..#

Perhaps learning to respect others will improve your relationships with them. "Yorubas are lazy,South Africans are lazy,Ijaws are lazy.". You are the only ones that are hardworking and clever !! You consider others to be inferior to you and are never shy to tell them.I wonder why you have few friends.Unfortunately you just don't get it
I guess you're blind to Ijaw-citizen's post full of derogation. I don't care about the so called relationship some Igbos are emphasizing with the Ijaws......we are good on our own! we have the science and technological know-how, the entrepreneurial accumen, the oil and gas, solid minerals, agricultural potential to feed us well, a river port to ferry our export and imports to/from Ibaka seaport, etc. We are good on our own with our fellow Igbos in SS region "Anioma". The ikwerre can go on with their self delusion if they like......it won't reduce anything from us if they choose to be on their own!

If there's any state I count on our relationship to be genuine and borne out of love, it is Akwa Ibom people, the others are just a bunch of insecured and paranoid fellows seeking who blame for their woes!
PoliticsRe: The Unity And Oneness Of The Old Eastern Region by 1soul(m):
Mieye007: Fumming hot? Are you sure you're not the one fummin hot? So you can imagine that I'd be fumming hot over a multi-challenged person magnifying his stupidity? I beg your pardon!

You Igbos always enjoy fooling people with the rubbish you post on nairaland, Yet why is it that whenever someone challenge your stupidity, THE NEXT THING YOU ALWAYS DO is to run away and shout "intense hatred for ndigbo"! Hatred for Igbos! How can challenging a liar amount to hatred? Why is 'shouting hatred' always the next action Igbos take when presented with an intellectual challenge. Can't you engage on a simple debate without shouting hatred?

Well it seems they're all tired of your rubbish and as it happens, I'm the only one amongst them having enough spare time to kick your @ss.
I'm sorry to disappoint you boy, I couldn't get the expected heart attack 'cos I've got a healthy heart unlike yours that's about to give up because someone is confronting your lies and Igbo propaganda.

Rex Lawson sang that song at gun point during the biafran invasion of Ijawland. At the time when the terror and attrocities of the Igbos was too much, people did everything they could to please the demonic biafrans.

Rex Lawson did a proper victory/tribute song to our Ijaw hero; Maj. Adaka Boro The GREAT after we drove you demons away from Ijawland. You should go and find out and listen to that song! Igbos couldn't even stand to give proper challenge, they all fled with the loots from our communities at the sight of Boro and his Ijaw Marines.

I said you're a bloody liar and I'm gonna expose you.

Harcourt Whyte was taken to leper colony ran by the catholic church in Igboland at a young age because he had leprosy. After a long stay in Igbo land he got acquianted with the language and sang in the choir.

What has the travails of this poor man and the song of Rex Lawson at biafran gun point got to do with an imaginary "unity in the Eastern region"? You're just a narrow minded bigot who'd never admit to the tyranny & atrrocities of the Igbos

You've claimed peoples land forcefully now you want to claim relationship forcefully? "Igbo cousins" indeed! When did an Ijaw man become your cousin? Why do you people always behave like leeches? Always attaching yourselves to Ijaws. We always drive you away yet you're still come back with same tactics like goats. SMH.....Igbo people make una change, stop attaching.

Did I really say that or its just your subconscious blabbering?

It would really be nice to do such comparism because it would be like an Igbo alone attrocities against an Igbo-Plus- All-Nigerians attrocities. Hope you can imagine? Igbos are part of the Nigeria perpetuating injustice in the Niger Delta.

Ijaws have not started asking you to account for and apologize for your crimes, yet you've started denying....my friend go and read the half-baked Oputa panel report Vol.3.

The centuries of relationship you're talking about was when Igboland depended on Ijawland for their survival. We never dominated you, invaded you or ruled over your lands but you all depend on the peanuts we gave you from the SALES OF YOUR FELLOW IGBOS AS SLAVES TO YOUR IJAW MASTERS AT THE COAST. That was the natural state of our relationship; igbos depending on Ijaws for economic survival.

There is nothing solid in that but all lies and propaganda. And as an Ijaw man it offends me when children of war criminals mischieviously try to play victims. We will never unite with you because we Ijaws had placed a curse on Igboland. You shall continue to be under us as you now are today in the current Nigerian reality. And even when Nigeria disintegrates, you shall continue to be at our mercy in a landlocked Igbo country.
If at all you're truely an Ijaw...

Then I need to tell you this.......if you guys end up in thesame country with the Igbos you would only become a serious liability at the longrun. You speak with this much bile because all you can see and think right now is OIL! And to you the Igbos are after it, and maybe that's why they always talk of a united old-Eastern region.

My guy with the projection on Shale oil to tripple the output of crude oil world wide, quality human resources and technology is the future. If not that you are somewhat drunk with this your "our-oil" mindset......you wouldn't have spoken of the Igbo in that derogatory tone. After all the blabing igbos still have more evidence to prove we are good on our own! While for you the fear of the
US recently projected Shale oil boom to pump tripple of crude oil output by 2018 is your greatest nightmare lol. Don't worry we've got industries to absorb you..

To be hornest, I don't wish to share a country with your people "Ijaw" I know them to be so lazy and totally dependent on handouts in form of amnesty and the likes for survival. At best we can only have good relationship and even that would be to attract cheap and unskilled labour to run our large-scale manufacturing industries for optimum output!

Talking about dominance......I think your people need to deliver yourselves first from your elders before coming to scream all over the place as if your problems starts and ends with the word Igbo!

When you said Igbos would be at your mercy I'm sure even you yourself did not believe it. We can't be land-locked when Ibaka seaport operates! Too many options but you guys are just too blind to see it......by the way I'm not even an advocate of seccesion, I strongly believe we're winning this silent war in this country, and that's the source of all these bad-blood. You all will get used to it and give up finghting a force bigger than you. By then both micro and macro economy of the country are all at our mercy.

YOU ALL WILL GET USED TO BEEN DEFEATED WHILE WE LEARN TO CONTROL THINGS FROM A SAFE ANGLE.....The learning will soon be over!
