vanbonattel: Nobody holy pass.
Forget about their lifestyle, focus on what caused the accident. Bad roads, police or robbers chasing them or faulty vehicle?
Nobody deserves to die just because they went to a club or party. Lifestyle plays a role to some extent. If you drive you'd know that driving at night can be dangerous especially if the street lights aren't functional combined with no road reflectors. People also tend to overspeed since the road may seem clear. Alcohol intoxication can also play a role. |

Sometimes, I wish i lived in a diff era to this I so much wanna see what it feels like to live in an era of minimal tech advancement(Stone-age) and my curiousity about the future badly makes we wanna see what the peak of tech advancement would look like
I want to see Humans send Robots into the Space, i want to see their findings. That will further solidify the Gods existence claim
But its still fine, I will be dead by 2124, so either way, I will sure know the truth about God's existence in my grave And your contributions is basically "to see" |

Let's try to fear God in our utterances. The idea of God is purely Subjective, some see God as a supernatural being while others see it as universal energy with no shape or form. Let's try not impose our beliefs on others. |

Nigerians often lack effective protest strategies. In successful protests worldwide, the main protest location is typically the nation's capital, and protesters remain continuously, day and night, without dispersing and returning the next day.
The key technique is to occupy the ground and stay there, allowing more people to join each day until the demands are met. |

RevenuesBoost: My habit of not calling more than twice works for me.
Calling a person repeatedly is annoying. A person can't be with his/her phone 24/7.
If it's an emergency, leave a message. I operate the same way. One missed call is fine, if I leave you 2-3 missed calls then it must be something very important that can't wait. Apart from people not being with their phone 247, I understand someone may just want to have a quiet time just about when I'm calling, they can always return the call at the nearest convenience. It's not always about cheating or the other party not wanting to talk to you. |

Ttalk: If price of fuel and gas is same across Nigeria and one fo0lih governor is paying 18k salary, who deserves to be chastised Govt doesn't determine price of petrol or food commodity. You would never fault the FG and Presidency who are in charge of the affairs of those nation. Like I said, the next protest would hit hard that you and your benefactors would have nowhere to hide. |

Kemetian: I keep telling people: If you want to know where all the allocation of trillions the East gets from Abuja every year goes, VISIT TEXAS.
VISIT ATLANTA.
VISIT MARYLAND.
VISIT CALIFORNIA.
SE governors have bought up all the mansions in those American states.
Their corruption wears a hat and carries a walking stick, as Igbos say, and the Igbos are totally silent on it.
I've never heard of a SINGLE protest against any of their governors or ex-governors.
Their ex-governors live like EMPERORS.
In their compounds you'll see many exotic, posh cars parked, sometimes up to 10.
Nobody ever asks them ''Oga, how did you get the money for all this?''
Instead they worship the very ground those men walk on, saving all their vilification for Abuja, Tinubu, Fulanis, Yorubas..
Igbos are the greatest hypocrites on Earth. Old tactics of tribalism, it won't work this time. Prices of fuel, rice and all commodities are the same in all states, Nigerians are suffering across all states and you feel your tribal games would work this time? Don't worry, the next protest would consume your likes and those politicians who pay you guys from their loots. Time is fast running out. |
Politics › Re: LG Autonomy: 13 States Rush To Hold Council Polls by 1x2x3: 11:40am On Jul 17, 2024 |
immortalcrown: The autonomy is only for collection of federal allocations, not for spending the allocations. So, what has really changed?
Remember that every state has its own electoral body (not INEC) that conducts local government chairmanship elections. With this, governors will make their puppets LGA chairmen and decide how those chairmen spend the federal allocations.
If you think the chairmen can decide to disobey the governors, think of how many LGA chairmen that are clean enough to boldly and successfully disobey their political godfathers. Remember that the puppets selected as LGA chairmen are the ones with rotten profiles that can be used to blackmail and silence those chairmen when those chairmen prove stubborn. It seems you may not fully understand what autonomy means. Previously, allocations were distributed by the Governor to the Chairmen, who then decided how to spend the funds on projects. Are you suggesting that if allocations are sent directly to the Chairmen, they would still need to seek the Governor's opinion on how to spend it? A Governor who no longer controls the funds directly shouldn't be able to dictate which projects to undertake in your community. Chairmen will now be held directly accountable, so those who want to hand over their constituency allocations to the Governor can do so. However, I believe the communities will ensure these Chairmen are held responsible. |
