If this story is True; That is if indeed, she slapped a male corper and the male corper did not retaliate, then I am Super Impressed with the Camp officers.
No lynching, no flogging, no officer slap (which i am surprised was not mentioned), just pack your Kaya and return to your father's house.

Cos it happened to a female, everyone is asking what the male did to deserve d slap... If it had been a male dat got decamped, everyone will say he deserved it cos he shouldn't slap a female no matter what....

There is rules and regulations that guide your stay in the camp. It is written in igbo , hausa ,yoruba and english. Again, nysc has camp court were matters are judged. All those that matters will be present on the judgement day. All platoon will be present to witness the trial and judgement which is done in the open. She will be entitle to a lawyer whose is a corp menber with law as discipline. There is justice in whatever that happen within the camp. In a nutshell, she did the crime she has to do the time. At iseyin a corper received alert of 195k instead of 19k5 he took an exeat and went out to withdraw the whole fund and transfer to another bank account.when the bank discovered the error they quickly notified the camp director. The guy was apprehended and tried in the camp court. At the end his service year was increased with an additional 3months without pay.so their Is rule of law in the camp

I'm speculating, and so are you, but I believe that my speculation is more likely to be right due to the way that our people generally think.

I find it difficult to believe that anyone would slap someone and get decamped. How did the officials know? Where they there? If reported, was there proof?

I would find corporal punishment or sleeping in the guardroom for days more believable

Even soldiers in barracks don't lose their jobs for slapping

The truth is that the NYSC Guidelines are very clear.. If you assault a fellow corp member, you will be decamped.

Infact, during my service year, an Army Officer assaulted a Man-O-War officer and was immediately sent back to the barracks by the Commandant.

I am sure she was decamped to set an example.. Almost ever Camp has a scape goat.. In mine, it was about 5 - 8 Deeperlife Corp embers that left camp to attend service abi na fellowship.

Is she a kid that couldn't speak up what d guy did when she was asked? Whoever's involved no matter the gender on whatever matter shouldn't take laws in their hands in camp. They should be under strict control and supervision

Is unjustified,will want to know what transpired. Those Nysc officials in Asaba Delta state are always unfair in their judgement. A friend of mine who laid all as a CDS leader in Asaba was payed back in a bad coin. I would have mentioned there name but could not remember.

Please balance the report. What really transpired,is not enough to say she slapped him...

There staff especially Asaba is always bias and greedy.

There is no justification whatsoever for physical abuse. There are always channels for resolving issues and those should be explored. Some of our ladies have so gotten the comfort of slapping guys with knowledge or belief that the guy will not raise a hand on her. Afterall if he does, he becomes a woman beater and if he doesn't, he is a wimp. I wish such decisions are taken on a more regular basis so that all parties will know that there are limitations in a sane society. To think that these ladies slap around men, hold their shirts and do all sorts. You hardly ever see them do same to fellow ladies. The understanding is clear. A man will probably not slap you or hold you back but your fellow female will hold you down to a fight, so they choose to abuse the guys who society expects to be gentlemen.

Bros, I am not here for women's right or left this afternoon.

Even if it was reversed, I will be equally amazed.

If a friend tells me he was decamped because he slapped a female corper, I will tell him to tell me another story. I am viewing this through my camp experience and it almost sounds impossible grin

I discussed it with my colleagues and they think I am joking angry

They could come out with the real story

Girls slept in boys hostel and they were not decamped it is now for one slap that people around might not notice?
