The s4 beats the z30 in all ramifications, and due to the drastic fall in price of the s4, they are now around the same price.

Also the z30 has a cheaper data sub( glo 3 gig for 1k), I need advice on which to pick.

Op, just go for Z30. S4 is all glamour and fashion. The camera issue is crap, a BB 8MP camera phone is equal to a Samsung 16MP camera phone AND I'm sure you have applications you bought from AppWorld, would you rather let them waste?

In other similar news, I'm looking to buy a BB Z30. I checked OLX to see offers and the available sellers are all from the custom office at Apapa and the funny thing is that they are all custom officers. Is this a safe deal? Has anyone gotten a phone from a custom officer, ever?

I wouldn't say you shouldn't and it depemds on the kind of phone you are porting from.

As for me though, i'll take a Z30 over Z10 because:
1. It has a larger screen resolution. It is 5'' compared to the latter.
2. It has slightly more battery life.
3. The speaker is like surround system. Improves call quality and voice chat.
4. If you like big phones (physically), then it is for you.
5. The camera is better than the Z10's.
6. BlackBerry hub is updated to enhance better management of notifications.
7. The display screen is AMOLED, and improves UI and in turn saves battery too.
8. It comes with an updated OS (10.2).
9. With the updated OS comes a general update of individual apps.
10. A friend who has hands-on experience on both devices said the Z30 is better at with wireless functions (bluetooth, Wi-Fi, streaming, NFC, etc) compared to the Z10.

Exactly! One of them i called (who happened to be a custom officer) told me that they don't accept cash in their office that i'll have to deposit the money into an account that she'll text me when we i come over. I got confused and asked her if we weren't gonna meet in person, she didn't answer but later she said i should call her when i'm ready buy. These people are scammers and they are spoiling the face of OLX.

If all you want to do is show off, take good pictures and play games, then go for the S4. I have no idea what the fuss is about. I personally think android was made for kids.

If you're more of a business/career minded person who uploads documents on the go, send-receive emails constantly, do a lot of multitasking with ease amongst many other things, please do yourself a huge favour and get the Z30. Asides not being the best option for a real selfie game, Z30 is the best phone I've used so far

It's surprising we are comparing both devices. I will ordinarily want to compare Z30 and S5 but since this forum has decided to compare the S4 and z30, I will go with that.

To start with, I have used both devices and can categorically tell you not to bother wasting your money on S4. The Z30 is a superlative device in all of its ramifications. Its beats the Samsung in durability, battery life, camera (both front and back), OS adaptation to your life style, ease of usage, OS integration with the apps, etc. The only plus the android has is the play store apps, but if you are using BlackBerry OS 10.2 and above, you can easily download and install any android app file.

Good luck as you make the right choice.
