i guess this only shows that d yorubas are not idiots. Maybe they keep quiet and don't talk often. Maybe they are not muscular like some pple. But they've got brain. The battle of present day is not fought by big muscle or big mouth; rather, it is fought with good brain. I'm sure y'all will now agree that the yoruba race is really a sophisticated race. From d time of Awolowo to d time of wole soyinka, fela kuti, baba iyabo and tinubu, we always have been sophisticated. Àdàbà ún sòrò ó se bí eyelé kò gbó; eyelé gbó, tiritiri l'ó n tiri. Yoruba awò sùnn bí eni kò mo'bi òrò ún ré. Yoruba arìn bèrè bí eni èyìn ún dùn; èyìn kò dún, elégàn ni kò féé kí!

In fact, Oduduwa á gbè wá ooo!!!
Well done clap for your slickness sickness. Children are suffering in Lagos and you are here celebrating your greatest 419 Chief Thiefbu.

The best is for GEJ to finish in 2019

come 2019 the best and the brightest and the young from South East and North should then fight for the PDP ticket. Whoever wins can pick someone from the other side as VP

PDP is also not doing badly in terms of leadership

torí i wèèrè ìta l'a se ún ní wèèrè ilé. Any igbo that thinks he can take over lagos better think again; the powers that be in lagos and yorubaland generally are not sleeping. They may not be making noise, but they are making plans. Continue to buy all d properties in lagos, we know how to get them back from you; not by flexing muscle, but by engaging mental ingenuity. Oorun l'ó ún gba t'owó omodé. Some peeps of the gully-erosion better be scared now; in their own interest.

I don't think it is fair to generalise all this as a west agenda. Pdp has a massive followers base in the south west . And it is a common knowledge that pdp will win at least 4 states in the south west for the presidential. All this scheming is that of tinuburuku and his allies in the persons of obj and co. Most yorubas right now detest apc and by the end of this year election apc would have dropped additional 2 or 3 more states in the south west.

It is some of the very loud mouthed Yorubas who have sold this a Western Agenda, an expression of their 'sophistication.' And that's how most of the 'free' world see it. Let's hope we are wrong, and you are right!

The calculation behind Obasanjo's support is becoming clearer. I declare it now without reservation that Obasanjo is Nigeria's nightmare and number one enemy!

The earlier we understand this fact and give him the "VIP" treatment, the better for us all.

Why must power go back to the north ?

When I was a kid, it was from IBB to Abdulsalami, from Abdulsalami to Abacha.

Now it should be from GEJ to Rochas. Igbo must have their turn..

thanks for ur understanding. Just for the record , pdp won ekiti state with a very wide margin of votes, in osun state despite the fact that pdp presented a weak candidate ,the party still amassed over 200,000 votes and this would have been more if pdp had presented a popular candidate. Ondo state is firmly under the control of pdp with mimiko has governor. In oyo state ,apc has already lost the state because noone is even thinking of voting for them, the opposition parties candidates leading the onslaught against apc are all products and ex members of pdp,the common goal of all in oyo state is that apc must go,maybe if the governor had moved to another party he might have had a chance. So far as the game is only lagos ,ogun and kwara remains to be decided and it is a common knowledge that pdp will clear all elections in kwara state. So pdp still has a very very strong fanatical base in the south west and yorubas are sophisticated to know the difference between cheap propaganda and facts . We know apc is a pack of liars and we will give them our verdict at the polls .

you didn't engage your mental faculty when typing this. What elective position is he ranting about? What other elective position is in Nigeria other than office of d president? Obj just left the office 8 years ago. Maybe your thoughtless self want to tell me if any igbo son is holding any elective position in Nigeria presently. And can 2 pple be presidents at d same time?

And in case you have forgotten, gej was put there by a yoruba man. Now dat d yoruba man has withdrawn his support for gej, just wait as gej goes crashing back to otuoke. And do you know what is giving buhari confidence of winning? It is because he is being supported by a yoruba man. We are not in power, but we are kingmakers. We decide who rules Nigeria and who doesn't. We aren't bunch of empty barrel noisemakers like some peeps.
very fine. After febuary, we will know how relevant yorubas have become in national politics. And fyi, there are many other elective positions in Nigeria apart from presidency.. From Senate President to Speaker. Where are the yorubas in all these power sharing? You don't even understand what is about to happen to yoruba nation.

A fact many people share.

Hopefully the verdict will be a complete rejection of Tinubu's schemes and aged Buhuri's misadventure. Frankly, anything other than this will really portray the Yorubas in bad light especially among the Southern ethnic groups. The Niger Delta will see through the schemes as plot to 'steal' their oil, while SE will see it as attempt to stem the little attention (airport, and roads) that have come to the SE. GEJ has been magnanimous to every part of the country. The free elections experienced now, didn't happen in the days of Obj. Infrastructure development appears evenly spread, even as North appears more favoured!

Our primary concern now should be free and uninterrupted flow of oil, while the effort to diversify the economy (agric, auto, power, telecom, services etc) gathers steam. This seems guaranteed with GEJ at helms of affair. To cut his time short will be seen as a gang up to steal from the 'poor and weak' Niger Delta, and return Nigeria to status quo. SE will not be part of that! In unison both will see Yorubas as greedy lots. Para-adventure Buhari's wins and become incapacitated leading to Osibanjo's Presidency, Core North will simply join the fray. No 'sophistication' will get Nigeria out of the mess this Tinubu's misadventure would have caused then.

u have too know this that political game players have thought about all these points u have raised. Don't mind the noisemakers here on nairaland shouting sai buhari. The unity of this nation is of utter most importance to key players. Nigeria is too big and important to be handed over to people like amaechi and tinubu to control. There is no way buhari will or can win this election. This will be the worst and heaviest defeat for apc ,just wait and see. If buhari 8 states believe me it will be a miracle.

Again, I hope you are right!

But we must no lower our guards. We must not underestimate the quantum of foolishness in Tinubu and Ameachi's camp, even as they drag the clueless general down the scheming rabbit hole! They are not cloning PVC for the fun of it; we are dealing with desperate people, whose schemes might run out of control like the Boko Haram saga!

We must not lose guards!

We must emphatically defeat their myopia at the polls, in the interest of the rest of us - Nigerians!

stop acting like a dunce. Senate presidency and office of speaker are selective and not elective positions. And do yoi know one of the contributory factors to gej's rejection by d southwest? The speakership saga.

the problem is you yorubas think you are wiser than anyone else. You are indeed sophisticated yet no person from the SW holds any top elective office in Nigeria presently.
I'm very happy this election is now between igbo and yorubas for GEJ and Buhari. We'll see whether you lots will be taken seriously in national politics again when Jonathan wins.

I don't know what to call this Una chit chat. Whether Buhari or GEJ, Nigeria won't move one bit forward. Youths stop tribal matters and support yourselves. This guys have nothing for us. You are first human before any tribe. If you cannot love each other except they belong to your tribe, no change is coming to this country. We will always sabotage each others efforts.

lol, this is the sophistication you re talking about? Nobody cares about the south west that's why the south west are not part of the political leadership in the country today. And Hold your leader Tinubu solely responsible for your speakership saga.
