Elections: Igbo Flee North by Kingspin(m): 5:06pm On Feb 05, 2015
Despite pleas by Igbo leaders and
Ohanaeze Ndigbo, to the Igbo in other
parts of the country, especially in the
North, to vote where they live, some
have relocated to the Southeast. Yesterday, hundreds of women and
children in the North returned to
Owerri, the Imo State capital, following
fears of post-election violence. Some of the returnees, who were seen
at the ABC terminus, said they would
stay until after the elections before
returning to the North, adding that
they abandoned their businesses for
fear of crisis. One of the returnees from Kano State,
Mrs. Mary Ikeagwuna, a widow and a
mother of three, said she returned
with her children, following her
experience in 2011 when the Igbo
were killed. She said more people would return to
their states, especially women and
children, adding that tension was
mounting ahead of the elections. Mrs. Ikeagwuna said she registered
her children in schools in Owerri
before returning, to ensure their
studies were not disrupted. Her words:
“I don’t know what will happen after
the elections. I thought it wise to return with my children. I’m a widow,
they are all I have.” Mr. John Odinachi, another returnee
from Kano, said: “The country may
disintegrate after the elections. “The northerners are known for
killing innocent people at the slightest
provocation. I advise the Igbo in the
North to return to the East and go
back to their base after the elections.” A returnee from Borno State, who
simply identified himself as Nwabueze,
advised Ndigbo in the North to return
to their states, adding that some of
those who refused to flee at the peak
of the Boko Haram insurgency were killed. Nwabueze, who also recalled the
killings of members of the National
Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Bauchi
State during the 2011 elections, urged
the evacuation of corps members in
the North, to avoid a recurrence.

Anything harm that befalls the remaining patriot Ibos in the north should be laid firmly on the doorsteps of the ohaneze and those other non partisan groups and elites who instead of preaching free fair elections and encouraging Ibos to vote their personal choices, decided to come out openly in support of Jonathan!
They have put those Ibos in the north in unnecessary danger when they cud conveniently at worse have publicly come put to say every Ibos has the individual right to vote his/her conscience and not who these groups endorsed.

We must begin to make the hausa/fulanis fear us too. Anybody that spills a drop of Igbo blood takes a loan that he will surely repay soon enough.

This is d only thing this country gains from d Muslim north.
Mindless violence,killings,child brides,riots, illiteracy,polio,destruction,uncontrolled childbirth.
Northerners living in d south have been thriving here wtout any forms of violence selectively directed at them, but in their place it's one year one trouble.
Sometimes d cause can be as trivial as that a cartoon was drawn in faraway Denmark.
They have now successively added our name to d list of terrorist countries.
Meanwhile, they contribute zero to d national purse.
They'll soon descend on me wt abuses but search Ur selves and U'll know it's d raw truth.

Check another thread that correctly stated the real ohaneze position.
Y should any sensible border of elders whose ethnic group has no major candidate in d presidential elections go ahead to endorse one and ask Igbos to vote same?Y didn't they endorse Chekwas Okorie.

Ndigbo are not internet warriors
They retaliated during America Invasion of US.
They retaliated during Miss World.
They retaliated during Cartoon Riot.

Yolobas will bury their own with their tails inbetween their legs.
Yoloba traders from Ibadam were killed in the North when they go to buy foodstuffs.
Yolobas were killed at Ore in 1999 by Fulani Suya sellers while the Baale flee from his palace.
A yoloba youth was killed in Mile 2 while his body was dumped in gutter.
Shagamu was torched by the Fulani herd men

When will yolobas retaliate, when will yolobas act and when will yolobas stop playing Ostrich

KEep playing the Ostrich, when NYSC happened yolobas were jubilating that Igbos were the victims but when the roll was call yolobas donated three victims and lose their voice cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

A yoloba pastor was killed nobody from yolobaland talk, they kept mute.

When Boko Haram were bombing churches in North it was Igbos that were condeming it but yolobas were in hiding playing the Ostrich but when the lists of the victims are released they will still donate half of the casualties.

The way yoloba pastors are being suyarise in North but nobody in yolobaland dare raise a voice......whyyyyyyy

What has Ohaneze got to do with the violence in the North? So they have the remote control for the blood suckers? Jonathan didn't even get up to 25% in the states where violence happened the last time.
Stop writing trash Chris Okwudili Ikeano.

Northers are leaving in numbers here in southeast, when I was traveling from Enugu to Awka two days ago I saw how they packed themselves and properties in lorries heading towards ninth mile, you hardly see shoemakers here in east. Only God knows the out come of this election

Every sensible Igbo person should leave the core North. It is certain that Buhari would lose the election like he always does, and it is also certain that his barbaric fellow illiterate cattle rearers up north would react violently to his loss like they always do.

Afenifere endorsement was counterbalanced by d presence of Osibanjo in the APC's ticket which another faction of afenifere endorsed. The Ibos don't have that luxury,so y endorse a GEJ? D right path and statement shd av been:'ohaneze endorses GEJ(if they are so desperate to get their pockets filled), but all Ibos shd individually look at each candidate and makes his choice'.
In this way,the ohaneze execs continue scamming GEJ and fulfilling their selfish motives while keeping all Ibos from harm's way.
Many Ibos have their entire livelihood, family and history in the north,so why endorse someone who hadn't benefitted the region in any way apart from scamming them with the 2nd Niger bridge.

We are in democracy and everyone or group of people have the fundamental right of choice and association without threat to their lives.
There is absolutely no reason for anyone to feel threatened because he or she is lawfully supporting a different candidate
Instead of you to demand a violence free election, you are here supporting ,making excuses for barbarians and blood thirsty vampires who have been killing without reason.
