This admission process is not well organized, and this is not good for the image of the University of Ibadan. I think applicants are not being treated faily in terms of dissemination of information. The whole admission and selection process should have been handled by the PG School and not individual department doing what they like. This can hardly happen in an ideal institution. I was at the School last week to find out about MBA list only to be tossed around from Economics department to The Business School and PG School. At the end of the day, none of them could provide a concrete information. I can only rely on rumors that the MBA program has been ceded to the newly created Business School that is still battling with accreditation from NUC. I was told that the school may be forced to refund the application fees of MBA applicants or defer their admission till next year as the School cannot risk NUC sanction by going ahead with an unaccredited program. Up till now, the School management have not deemed it necessary to officially inform applicants about the status of their admission. I don't know the criteria used to place the school as number 1 in Nigeria sef. Mtcwww

I did unilag pg exam on 10th of Oct, CBT o, I never see or hear anything. Let me educate u small.

1 NUC has approved the new business school

2 Its better the admission process is being handled by individual dept, PG school na administrative office nah, anything it does is based on various dept recommendation.
If PG school handles it all, it means it will wait for dept to set questions, conduct exams, send it to dept if its written wait for them to mark, wait for the result, that's elongating the process

If dept sets their questions, they mark, conduct interview not all conduct interview. Add all d marks and paste it on notice board

3. Forced to defer admission ke for MBA, brother this program has been on for like 30 years, the worst will be the program will be continued by economics dept. Don't be inordinately pessimistic.

they only said that i have met all the requirements and the test would be coming up in a forthnight, but i dont think they will bother me again cos i have sucessfully changed my department to agric economics even though it cost me #5500.i guess my documents have left economics department
