- 16 years of APC ruining Lagos state.
- IGR increased over 34 times from N7.2 billion to N246 billion.
- N20 billion annual budget to Lagos State Water Corporation, LSWC.
- Plenty plenty launching of super sized generators as IPP

What is the % of households & businesses in Lagos state WITHOUT something as basic as TAP water

We must be free from Living in Bondage, Part 5.

Yet power output dropped since your bogus commissioning while Lagos state is increasing capacity and producing our public infrastructures with uninterrupted power supply? Are we still not in darkness after all the looting and stealing power funds?

So, of what relevance is your rubbish to the people of Lagos state?

Don't mind the illiterate of Owobokiri. He doesn't know that the Constitution that puts the distribution/transmission of power in the hands of the Federal Government has impeded every effort made by some state government on power. Some states have generated power, which is within their power, but can't distribute it.

They are just too ignorant, they don't even know anything about their own country... ...smh...

Perhaps you don't know since you still patronise mai ruwa, but if phcn is absent for too long water stops flowing (transformation agenda things ko) so now this part of Lagos will have its water supply powered by compressed natural gas to rescue us from phcn.

Fashola is simply the best governor I've ever experienced, and future minister of works or something major.

So he goes for the alternative like others and installs a generator.
Why does he have to make a big deal out of his by pretending to be commissioning power projects?

The Peninsula Integrated Power Project (PIPP) provides power for the Lagos State Government (LASG) water works and public lighting within Lekki, Victoria Island and Ikoyi. The project is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between LASG and Peninsula Integrated Power Limited. This project is focused on greatly improving water supply and safety by the provision of street lights. The plant also has a dedicated distribution network and will run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Facilities to be connected to the Peninsula Integrated Power Project

Facilities Connected to the Peninsula Integrated Power Project

Lekki Phase 1 Waterworks

Ligali Ayorinde Waterworks, Victoria Island

Saka Tinubu Waterworks, Victoria Island

Alexander Road Waterworks, Ikoyi

10 km of New Public Lighting within Lekki Phase 1

15 km of New Public Lighting within Victoria Island

This same fashola commissionsed a power plant some months back that was biult to power JUST Alausa, his base!!! Do you realIse that with her economic clout, Lagos should be biulding her own massive plants for all including for those at Ajegunle and not just for those in Ikoyi? Where are fasholas signature projects after 8 solid years in power? Clearing of Oshodi? Turning a white elephant project like the monorail into another Ajeokuta steel plant? Now he is commissioning china made generators as power plants! Paper weight political bimbos masquereding as the new messiahs. . .

for your info sir, Fashola cannot start commissioning power projects all over the state, he doesnt even have the rights of the constitution to. To make it more clear, in 2005, Tinubu wanted Lagos to run on its own privately generated power, but OBJ was having none of that and he frustrated the idea out of him hinging on the fact that the federal alone is saddled with the responsibility of providing and even distributing power. So there you have it. He can only do these things at strategic places where his powers as a governor resides. So you should ask our President what happened to 6 years of no light during his administration.

Meaning underground distribution cable. 300 miles so fare.

With six power plants and underground distribution network, Lagos is saying by to your worthless National Grid...

There's just nothing like good and credible leadership...

Good project! Give credit where it is due!

However, in the same vein, i wonder if Fashola or other APC supporters understand that this would have been impossible without the implementation of the power reform act. Signed under Obj (in his very last days after almost 8 years of wrong decisions on power), but finally given life under Jonathan.

Mentally retarded proff... You are the biggest fool here. Shut up that gutter you call mouth and mind your biz/ work that's if you have any! Unemployed miscrant

[b]Now..... enough with the insults already!

Power generation is nothing without transmission and distribution.

Before PHCN Distribution was privatized, Federal Government was juggling all aspects of power production. Back then it was all their affair. now we have the Discos and TCN. The question now is: can state IPPs recoup monies spent on their projects?

Lagos State Government may try to supply Eko Disco and boost the grid, but does it get power to where it's needed? yes, they get money, but TCN can now route power to other parts of the country and Lagos is none the better for It!

With the people's interest in mind, Fash decided on a way to keep power generated, however little, within the state, serving key areas like water treatment plants. Now, the load such plants formerly took off the grid as supplied to Lagos by TCN is now free for Eko Disco to move to other parts of Lagos, while TCN are obliged to keep supplying the same MW to Lagos.

That, in the end, results in albeit marginal improvements in power supply which TANOIDS now claim as transformation!

I'm a professional who has spent ten years in the Power Sector, by the way, so choose your words carefully if you wish to debate the issue with me.

Governor Fashola Kicks–Off Solar Power Projects in Public Schools

This is to provide a Sustainable Renewable Energy Solutions for Schools and Primary HealthCare Centers with a clean, reliable energy services to currently underserved communities in Lagos State.

According to a release from the Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB) the solar installation at Epe PHC with capacity of 76KWP commissioned on the 7th January, 2015 marks the kick-off ceremony for the exercise. Ikorodu, Ibeju- Lekki, Badagry and the Riverine schools will follow in the series of commissioning of alternative power installations in schools.

Over 67% of Public Schools in Lagos characterized by exceptionally poor or absolute lack of electricity due to their distance and isolation from the city would be connected to the solar solution to run an un-interrupted power supply 24/7.

LSEB has carried out an energy audit exercise of the 172 Public Schools across the six educational districts and 20 zones in the state. This is to ascertain each School and PHC energy requirement gap are being met.

The Solar Power System are sustainable because their fuel (the sun) is inexhaustible, renewable, minimal maintenance and been used successful world over.

The projects would among other benefits relieve the 172 Secondary Schools and 11 PHCs of the burden of operating 352 diesel/petrol powered generators and provide significant cost saving over the project lifecycle, no access to electricity supply from the National grid which in turn could be accessed by the public. Train, certify and create sustainable employment opportunities in solar power generation for over 200 young Lagosians. It will also improve the quality of life for students, patients and Lagos State employees.

General Manager LSEB, Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi, while conducting the Governor round the installation said a system of digital monitoring has being developed by the Board to centrally monitor operation of the systems at all points

GEJ can give our institutions and whatever steady power supply if he ignores ordinary Nigerians and their homes and concenterate all the power generated on public institutions like Fashola is doing.
It is easy to generate a mere 1mw and power street lights and claim that you are working, what about Lagos homes? What about state governments who have constructed real power plants that supply electricity to homes?

With ALL The OIL REVENUE THAT THE OIL RICH SOUTH SOUTH Earns I am Dissapointed in those OIL REVENUE Governors.

Habba, be fair, which state out of ALL those south south(or even the whole Nigeria) has the kind of population lagos has to cater for?

Lagos is Not Pampered monthly with Billions oil revenue.
WHY ARE PEOPLE not objective?
Lagos has to be on its toes and even be innovative before they can generate those IGRS.
Appart from Population(which the federal government has turned to a liability for lagos, by leaving them to lagos alone to cater for), what else does lagos has? Is it not the same allocation as with other states.
Does lagos have special oil revenue?
