davidylan:Yup even Tommy Haas in his prime would be hard-pressed to survive Nadal it would be a great match but i expect a blowout |

Murray means business and we all should stand up and take note! |

Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by bagoma(f): 2:30pm On Jan 25, 2009 |
@ David, that guy is driven! Andy Murray. Ok so Fed had a scare today. just saw the match-cast for his game against Byderch. he is up against del potro while Djokovic should take his ongoing match against Bagdatis to clash up with Roddick. exciting i must say, Bagdhatis not going down without a fight. his down one set already and battling to stay alive in the second. lets see how it pans out. |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by bagoma(f): 2:47pm On Jan 25, 2009 |
Baghdatis is two sets down and not looking good at all in the third. |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by bagoma(f): 3:45pm On Jan 25, 2009 |
Baghdatis has clawed his way back into the match, refusing to say die. 1-6, 6-7, 7-6. He's just taken the match into four set, maybe even 5, who knows. so here we go fourth set begins now. game on! |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by dayokanu(m): 6:45pm On Jan 25, 2009 |
Murray wont win anything cos he is british. They are not good at anything. I cant remember the last Englishman to win a grand slam |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by bagoma(f): 9:56pm On Jan 25, 2009 |
@ Dayo, I bet Murray knows that some folks think like you do and he's out to make y'all eat your words. I'm not a fan of his but he's playing well enough for me to pay attention!!! I'm not ruling him out at all. this is between him, Rafa and Roger, methinks. |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by bagoma(f): 10:47pm On Jan 25, 2009 |

bagoma: After watching the Berdych-Federer match . . . i can boldly say the Fed's days as a grandslam champion are drawing to a close. Murray would beat that Federer in 3 straight sets . . . even Djoko and Nadal would have had a chance. |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by dayokanu(m): 5:45am On Jan 26, 2009 |
David, Fed express still won the last grand slam |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by ayusco: 11:30am On Jan 26, 2009 |

Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by tng(f): 12:42pm On Jan 26, 2009 |
So much for Murray being the favourite. Much as I would like Nadal to win, I see feederer taking his 14th GS. I hope to God am wrong. |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by Nobody: 1:08pm On Jan 26, 2009 |
tng, Damn. You're so right. The only guy who can beat Fed on hardcourt is out. Nadal isn't a great hardcourt player.Djokovic isn't consistent enough to be considered a threat. Only pointing in one direction:FEDERER. Though he was lucky to escape yesterday. |

Nadal is fast improving and somewhat accomplished on all surfaces. Anyone remember people going on about nadal not being accomplished on grass then what did he do at wimbledon, demolished the only true great (King Fed) He was only knocked out @ the last aussie open because of a brilliant Tsonga who demolished him with his big serving and sometimes outrageous volleys. I can see another mouth watering semi between the pair (Tsonga and Nadal (assuming he gets past the fast improving frenchman Giles Simon)) which i know that Nadal is def going for a revenge. I can also see Novak being extra motivated and might be a tough match for federer thats assuming they both reach semis. My heart prays for fed express but Nadal is just too dangerous (the guy is just something else) |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by Nobody: 4:01pm On Jan 26, 2009 |
Nadal thrashed Gonzalez . . . now i'm begining to think i've been wrong about him, his hard court game has certainly improved especially his forehand and he's not relying on pure defence alone. As for Murray . . . what can i say? So much for being the bookies favorite. |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by dayokanu(m): 5:34pm On Jan 26, 2009 |
Murray wont win anything cos he is british. @ Dayo, Maybe i should open foretelling service. Murray would never win anything. Verdasco I wont lie I never hear him name before. So the British favourite crashes out once again. Shame!!! |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by bagoma(f): 9:20pm On Jan 26, 2009 |
@ Dayo you've surely earned your bragging rights. lol Murray just disappointed me. and to think he was getting all worked up because he wasn't being considered favorite. No one expects Roddick to win this. just thinking aloud 'is all! |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by bagoma(f): 10:20pm On Jan 26, 2009 |
I dont want Federer to win his 14th grand slam just yet. call me bad belle or whatever. its Rafa all the way! |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by doyin13(m): 12:33am On Jan 27, 2009 |
I sure want Fed to win the his 14th and 15th fast fast. . . . I can't wait to see Sampras's name wiped from the record books as the all time grand slam winner. His game was too limited to warrant such a position. Come on Fed son. . . .Get in there |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by Nobody: 3:36am On Jan 27, 2009 |
doyin13: Chill maybe he will win the next 2 US Open titles after which he can gracefully retire. |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by dayokanu(m): 5:37am On Jan 27, 2009 |
@Bagoma, Britons are just generally useless I want Federer to win the 14th and 15th in quick succesion and break the Sampras record sharp sharp |
Re: Australian Open 2009 - Men by jaybee3(m): 7:52am On Jan 27, 2009 |
Djok is out. had to succumb to the unbearable heat. fed's passage to the final becoming a lil assured? |
