You nairalanders ehh!! Una dey try wella. Especially the guys.. met this guy late last two years through this forum, we became friends on bbm and whatsapp. We did not meet face to face till May last year.
We met for the first time at one eatry, got reintroduced and then chatted away, talked about a lot and then argued plenty. His ideologies seems sooo different from mine and not even a thin line can bring it any closer. U guys won't believe it, we ended up arguing so hard till I excused myself out. We just sat over bottled water actually, lost my appetite for the meat pie I wanted to order.
Funny enough, he was too argumentative too jeezz.. but then I told him that we can't work. So I got home, deleted and erased his contacts from everywhere, I don't even know his nairaland username till now. We never contacted reach other ever since.
Fastforwarded to last week, this same guy chatted me up on whatsapp and since then till now, we have been friends, he said he doesn't know how my contact exists on his whatsapp contacts though no name and previous messages and that's because he cleared the messages then. So back to the beginning " u are so beautiful, this and that" we started reintroduction again, I recognized him real bad but why couldn't he recognize me!! Strange. He wants us to meet face to face again, still saying the same thing about been uncomfortable meeting people online.
Can't help smiling at guys and their designated way of going after what they like, I haven't told him that we have met before. Maybe I should meet him again and say it to his face. I thought that he would code because I still gave him the same info about me.
Thought I should share with u guys but not based on seeking advice or anything. Cheers.

The thing actually is that I asked him if he has seen me before, he said :no'. The only physical change on me is that I reduced a lot in weight because of my swim training, got a forthcoming swimming competition, aside that, my face and looks still hasn't changed. Its all good.

Aside of all these, maybe he later met another girl that occupied his mind throughout that period and he forgot your face, or, he easily forgets those he argues with, because they didn't come to terms with his views. A few people are like that, that's why they take pictures of memorable events, but most times, they even forget to take pictures of memorable events.

The major topic that led to that heat of an argument I remember clearly is that his first approach to me was all about " I need a serious relationship because I want to get married" pls dear what kind of technique is that? On our meeting, I brought up that subject to him that it turns genuine women off BC not every babe u meet is interested in marriage talk and not every babe u meet is worthy of u but bcs of the term "marriage" they turn to pretentious bi***ches just to trap you down. The guy thinks it is not proper to withhold the information from a girl he likes, I told him that most babes sees it as a means of u getting them easily but he opposed me. That's how we argued and argued till I angrily walked out on him. Even now, he has said it again to me that he needs a relationship for marriage from me that so shall we meet? From what i see, i think that's his formation in getting girls, you see, every guy has his own formation in getting girls. He has realised long before now that about 60%of Nigerian girls become desperate for marriage when the guy that is in for this, is fully loaded, and girls fall head over heels to a guy that promises them marriage, a guy with the world on his feets. This formation has worked for this guy most that's why he keeps using it to strike. You were in line by telling him out which led to the argument. I know you were trying to tell him that you don't just meet someone you've not met before and do not know her true character and just start telling her you are cut out for marriage that moment. This takes time. He doesn't understand this and has been using this to get girls who are desperate. He thought you were one of his prey waiting to fall. But he was wrong. I must commend you, you were bold in telling him off about that, not all girls does that. Some girls will just sit and watch him blab about all what he wants. After he finishes, it will be time to go home. They will say they will get back to him.
