On the issue of drones, I think it is commonsensical for all FOBs, troops on patrol etc to be armed with a drone. It mustn't be military class drone (since we don't hv the financial muscle for now), all this drones that TV station uses that can be gotten for say N30k can be bought (or the more discreet ones. pocket size) enmass and distributed to troops in all sectors/theatre of operations. Honestly, though it sounds stupid this will go a long way in improving situational awareness at all times. e.g before any advance is made we can send the drones to collect intels before advancing. Even during advance it can also be used by troops to their advantage. I hope someone sees this and take it up to the army high command.

It is a good idea .

It is used regularly by lower echelons in CT ops and to monitor cross border terrorist infiltration back home

Just providing information

Advance algorithms relating to navigation , ai based decision making , exotic flight path etc are more or less tested on toy / commercial drones first at University level as part of industry or govt funded program. Then after necessary qualification and acceptance they move to industry level where things are done as per mil grade standards by OEMs under collaboration with the University grads / profs etc who proved it feasible in the first place.

Cool story good for him but since hes not building drones for the Nigerian Airforce this is pretty much irrelevant to our interests unfortunately...

Look at him calling NAOWA like it's one big deal lol..

If you ever lived in the barracks , you'd know affairs between soldiers and their colleagues wife is extremely common not to talk of a senior officer who always get an erection whenever he sees the wife of a junior officer. If it happens to you , just lockup and move on. There's nothing you can do about it.

I will again disagree .

Problem was with the pricing , the price hal quoted was deemed too high by naf. Only the fuselage will be old rest everything brand new , including engines.

I had hal statement in a pdf on it . It was part of their annual report. But that was long time back.

During that period Hal manufactured the complete aircraft all by itself . So spares from uk don't come into play.

Anyways. Let's agree to disagree.

Means I was right as practically everything on the aircraft was beyond economic repair because of how they stored it. Replacing practically every component is equivalent to buying new aircraft which was not what the NAF heirachy wanted. So, they couldn't assist.

I know osemwingie more than you know yourself. And stop saying he's the brain behind most of all American drones. We have several types of drones and what he specializes in is the multi rotor drone which is among the least complicated type of drone to make and operate.

He's not dead. The USA is only going beserk over rumours of his frailing health. His death will however be a major blow to North Korea because there's no one viable enough to succeed him. His kids are still in elementary school and his wife just gave birth to a baby boy. He has a sister tho but she doesn't have the courage and panache to rule a country like NK.

Oil prices shocked shocked shocked

It is not even zero dollars , it is negative 14 dollars per barrel

It means now seller will need to pay the buyer to buy the oil grin

You would've sounded smarter keeping quiet than this obtuse explanation of yours.

A negative oil price meas that offtakers no longer buy a particular blend of oil while producers continue production leading to stranded vessels that can't be evacuated.
Its a rare occurrence because hitherto, producers halt production the moment offtakers decline orders.

The oil cuts ain't scheduled to happen till next month, with how chaotic today has been for the us oil market...trump would definitely be on the phone to push up the commencement date for the cuts, with the way things are going, even the over 9mb/day cuts wouldn't be enough
Trump just said he'll pay oil companies in the U.s to keep the taps shut, they'll be considered as U.s strategic reserves.
Just to clarify, Nigeria also sales at a discount so instead of selling at the Brent crude benchmark, we sale at OPEC basket prices, so a little bit above $17/b

Nigeria has not sold under Brent benchmark since 2005.
Selling at a discount & selling under a benchmark are two different things.

NAF@56: NAFOWA DONATES PALLIATIVES TO HOST COMMUNITIES IN ABUJA TO CUSHION EFFECT OF COVID-19

As part of efforts to alleviate the hardships being experienced by Nigerians, especially women and children, as a result of the lockdown imposed to combat the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Nigerian Air Force Officers' Wives Association (NAFOWA) today, 22 April 2020, distributed palliatives to members of the NAF’s host communities in Bassa, Sauka and Wulumo in the Abuja Municipal Area Council. The palliatives, which were distributed to 550 families, included bags of rice, vegetable oil, beans, semovita, noodles and condiments, among others. The donation, which was done in furtherance of NAFOWA’s motto of “Service to Humanity”, is coming barely 48 hours after the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) distributed food items and other palliatives to members of its host communities of Ushafa, Nuwalege and Zamani in Abuja to mark its 56th Anniversary.

Speaking during the flag-off of the well-organized, COVID-19 compliant ceremony, the NAFOWA National President, Hajiya Hafsat Abubarkar, who was represented by the Vice President of the Association, Mrs Elizabeth Amao, stated that the charitable initiative by the Association was to reach out to the less privileged in the society in order to cushion the economic effect of the lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 global pandemic. She advised Nigerians to adhere strictly to all precautionary measures aimed at eradicating the deadly scourge.

Expressing his appreciation to the NAFOWA for the kind gesture, the Chief of Bassa Community, Gimbia Daudu, noted that following the lockdown order, the people of his community found it extremely difficult to feed. The palliatives, he said, would go a long way in assuaging the plight of his people. Meanwhile, the beneficiaries, who could not hide their joy, also showered encomiums on the NAFOWA President and her team for the palliatives, which according to them, would further cushion the effect of the stay-at-home order. NAFOWA is a Non-Governmental Organisation that is complementing the welfare programmes of the NAF.

I can see throughly you have military personnel has friends giving the gist of what happened in some part of the theaters.
During the dark days, even has CO’s officers you have to participate in the digging somehow to show commitment and sympathy to troops under your command before we started having excavators.
But the part of your gist are not true !! Like these part stating: “Although I heard the barb wire fence messed Soldiers trying to withdraw during the 2018 Metele attack”. Show me a F.O.B with a barb wire in the North East theatre .

Again Samuel Anyanwu is right quit calling him a liar, he makes a joke out of you each time you do that.

"Wen e clear say we no fit win we decide to retreat but e too late. Di camp dey surrounded wit barb wire and dem dey fire us from di entrance. Dem surround us. Wen one of di drivers try push di barb wire so di oda vehicles go escape, di truck come stuck and na so many soldiers inside oda vehicles and for ground die." Na so di soldier tok."

He is actually right. All US storage facilities are filled up and drillers are willing to offer money to get their oil stored up. It is only the US shale that has fallen beyond zero. This partivular type of oil is produced in the US
You can correct people or make your point without insulting others. It's not hard at all, I just did it.
This applies to everyone contributing here, we are all adults, let's behave like it. No name calling or insults. And should in case someone decides to troll, just ignore. This is an appeal.

That was a joke which obviously u did not get the head or tail .

And maybe you should not be in a hurry to prove others wrong.

nemesis8u:

Clarification
The price tanking is related to the WTI crude .

And this has happened primarily because storage facilities are full , so there are no takers for the crude ( plus other reasons are there ) hence price of WTI crude is -38 dollars per barrel grin

About opec no idea bro , has demand picked up even after the cut ?
