So you say he is mentally ill. How did you get your diagnoses, by his comments? Guy this is stupid and bleeped up men truth be told. It shows your personality. You are petty I swear. I hope this is not who you are in real life because you will never go far in life. I know this dude..I've seen him send money to people he doesn't know and may never meet here on nairaland. I feel like posting a very long article about boko haram written in 2013 grin
What's the job of the secret police in Nigeria

Cultist have been fighting and killing in jibowu, fadeyi, bariga, somolu, oworo etc. Police invaded those places yesterday and they were patrolling and arresting random guys. Don't the Nigeria police and DSS have informants that give them information Most of this cultist are well known, can't the police go and arrest them in their houses

The DSS should round up this cultist and just lock them up, they are becoming something else.

One day a politician might start funding them and once they can start laying their hands on guns like AK47 and the likes, the battle will be as bloody as that of boko haram cause most of this cultist are ready to fight and die. They so much believe in the fraternity they belong in and they are ready to fight to death. Most of this cult group have structures.

There should be a law that states that any cultist that is caught shall be sentence to death and his or her body cremated no matter who you're.

The Super Tucano will come with guided munitions such as Paveway II and Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) laser-guidance kits and ammunition.

These can be deployed from far range that would render AA guns less potent.

We don't need the Mavericks cos they are expensive. The APKWS kits will do just fine.

This country has a history of taking actions without weighing it on a reaction scale. Its simple law of life, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Recent example(based on religion) is Mohammed Yusuf.

What happened to the wisdom in "talking softly but carrying a big stick"? Who scratches rashes with knife?.
Look how this administration failed when it tried bludgeoning the case in the delta? That's how they'd fail if they approach this issue. Can we afford another pyrrhic victory?

So you call people names because they don't agree with your line of thinking? The fact that Afghanistan is using the Tucano for COIN and USA having ordered them for trials as a low cost alternative in uncontested airspace are all not critical thinkers?

Of course, you even know more than the military that ordered it.

Our forces PR is bad... We need to make known things that matters, news that will make the public love and appreciate our forces efforts....
In Nigeria pattiotism is getting low... The FG should maybe inaugurate a 30 minute program on nta everyday that will show the positive actions of our forces...

For anyone interested in the usefulness of the super tucano, the US Air Force wants to use them for spec ops.

Even the Phillipines Air Force currently fighting an insurgency think it is the right aircraft.

Troops of HARBIN KUNAMA III have successfully conducted a joint operation with troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and personnel of the Nigerian police to clear bandits and other reported cases of robbery, cattle rustling and kidnappings in Katsina state.

The clearance operation which is aimed at destroying all bandits' camps in Katsina state has yielded tremendous results.

In the course of the operation, troops conducted a cordon and search exercise while acting on credible intelligence reports at YAR SANTA village in Kankara Local Government Area and its environ.

At the peak of the exercise, one Mr Monday Chikwunka, 36 years old, an indigene of Delta state alongside sixteen (16) other bandits specialised in rustling cows, killing and kidnapping of citizens were intercepted.

Preliminary interrogation and confessional statements by the suspects revealed that the gang are responsible for most criminal activities in the State and its localities.

The ring leader (Monday Chikwunka) also served as medical aid of these criminals by providing medical assistance to the wounded bandits who sustained gun shot wounds and their families. He confessed treating the pregnant wife of the one of the most notorious bandit, DOGO NAHALLI who is still at large.

The suspects have been handed over to the appropriate security agency for further investigation and prosecution.

In a similar development, troops while on clearance operations, encountered a group of fleeing bandits and neutralized one of the criminals who tried to escape. Many camps belonging to the bandits were destroyed.

The following items were recovered from the scene:

1. 2× AK 47 rifle
2. 4× AK 47 Magazines and 10 rounds of 7.62 mm
3. 6× locally made Dane guns
4. 1× revolver pistol
5. 1× locally made revolver rifle
6. 20× handsets

The locals expressed optimism and appreciation while commending the efforts of Nigerian Army as well as other security agencies for ensuring the safety of lives and properties which enabled them continued with their routine activities including farming in the areas. Troops will continue to exploit by combing all hideouts of the bandits with the view to denying them freedom of action.
