I would not pay too much attention to lists of any kind in most popular magazines. The vast majority of the world could not even tell you the name of the Nigerian President never mind some government minister. I have been coming to Nigeria for 15 years and have never heard of this person (no idea if the have done good or bad). The magazine lists are meant to promote discussion and others are free to come up with their own lists.

What is this incoherence?

The meaning is that people who give out these awards are sometimes wrong and give the wrong people.

If Hitler can be made Time Magazine's person of the year then what can't happen?

Hitler this Hitler that, what do you know about Him?

He is never what you think he is.
The Germans sees him as a hero of sought for protecting the integrity and interest of their dear country even at the expense of his life.
Huh! You were told he was a terrorist, blablabla - right:/, probably the magazine knows a thing or two about Hitler that you dont.

Why this hatred? You despise her tribe , right? That is envy. Not good for your health.

what for? What has she done for the common people? She is not even a Humanitarian yet they rank her that high. How do these guys compute a nation's Gdp? I mean, how can a nation that is so much indebted to the world bank be ranked high in Africa's economy? 1dollar equaling N190 and yet they claim it's the biggest economy. They say she is saving, yes, saving for the political thieves. Thwar! This country needs deliverance.

Had it been you are not blinded by tribalism , you will have heard that Nigeria Economy tripled under her reign , and had surpass south africa to become the fastest growing economy in africa. She is not an Efcc agent so don't expect her to investigate corruption, you should go ask your state govt how he utilize the state revenue allocation. Even if Nigeria don't recognize her as a great woman of economics, the world do.

It is you people shouting tribalism that are ethnic and tribal champions. So anybody that disagrees with Okonjo Iweala is a tribalist, then other economists like Dr. Oby Ezekwelisi, Prof. Charles Soludo and lots of other igbos who disagrees with Okonjo Iweala handling of the economy are all tribalists. I wonder why you people cannot get into cerebral arguments without throwing around primitive sentiments. you are no better than Oba Akiolu who thinks it is only Igbos that votes for PDP.

Nigeria's economy tripled under Okonjo Iweala's reign? Please what are the indices you are using the measure the tripled economy? If you are talking about her first coming, i cannot really argue, but if you are refering to her second missionary journey, then i think you are dreaming. Please compare indices like growth rate, inflation rate, exchange rate, GDP and investment rates (both foreign and local) between when she first came in 2011 and now that she is about to leave. Also read Charles Soludo's assessment of her performance and the fraudulent debasing of our economic to make it seem like our economy suddenly experienced a quantum leap overnight, when all the world bank did was just juggle some figures. If you understand basic economics, then you will understand that Nigeria naturally would be the largest economy in Africa, soley due to our huge population. Nigeria's population is about 25% of that of Africa, so it was not Okonjo Iweala's brillaint economic policies that is responsible for our being the largest economy in Africa. It is like someone crediting Fashola with Lagos being the biggest economy in Nigeria, in fact Lagos economy is bigger that most African countries save South Africa.

I know she is not EFCC, but she should have her fact and figures at the back of her hand. She should know how much Nigeria makes daily and how much is expended by the federal government. She should be able to assist EFCC do their work by showing where money is missing.

Nothing concerns Okonjo Iweala with how states spend their 26% of Federal allocations, her job is to monitor how the federal government spends their 54% of all Federal Government's allocations. If she is clueless on how much money NNPC makes for Nigeria and clueless how the Federal government spends the allocations that passes through her office, how is she to know how much money each state spends.

If she has done so well, why is she running from the challenge to a public debate by prof charles soludo and dr. oby ezekwelisi.
