You dey mind the ignoramus? 3/4 of Nigerians don't know how many tribes exist in the SE. They are comfortable lumping every tribe as Igbo just to exhibit their folly.
divisive politics won't work in Rivers state. Ignore them

No matter how you want it to be, the first thing and the right thing must be done for transparency. Soon the aboki he used tax payers money to campaign for will send him to jail by the time all his embezzlements in Rivers are exposed.
I am so happy that GEJ has transformed Nigeria so much that people's votes now count which has never happend in Nigeria ever. He had all the tools and power return himself to power on March 28 presidential elections but he chose to remain like a normal contestant to allow Nigerians to decide. Nigerians decided and he took their decision in good faith. All the governors who did not perform where voted out and the people who love their members voted them in. Lagos loves APC and the candidate and Ambode is voted in, same in Kaduna, Plateu, Ogun, Taraba, Niger, Abia and others. The same happend in Rivers, Enugu, Ebonyi, Akwaibom, Delta where the people love the candidates that won the elections. Why are you people crying?
people's votes now count Haha haha. Well let me just try to ignore that comment. Tomorrow now you won't agree that buhari defeated Jonathan Because 'people's votes now count'. You will still say it was because amaechi betrayed him or because there was underaged voting in the north. People!

That is just the gospel truth. We can only have our desired strong and collective political bloc as united easterners if we live our collective unity and not just Preach it. Rivers and Delta has just shown through the Governorship election that the era of divisive politicking has long gone and buried. Our cousins in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and the entire SE states and those living in diaspora spoke through their votes during the Presidential contest that we are not divided. We need to do more to preserve these statement and consolidate on our collective unity.

Social media is the watch word; it can make or break a people. We shall endevor to encourage discussions based on love and mutual respect.

One "Ikengawo" opened a thread that went against this spirit, not only he was rebuked by almost all the Igbo respondents, the thread was eventually deleted by the Mod. He got the message; the people wants to move on and they've already done that. I'm very hopeful.

I saw the thread of Ikengawo and I smiled. The process of unification is progressing. I was happy when I read the opinion of the respondents. If we continue to make use of social media to promote this unity, the sky will be our starting point.

Mbok, how's ''Nyesom'' Igbo
I'm Igbo, dunno the meaning and even ''Wike'' in Igbo is ''Nwike'' I presume undecided undecided undecided

The tribe of the governor elect does not matter. He could come from any tribe in Rivers.
Ijaw, Ikwerre (Igbo), Ogoni, Obollo is irrelevant here. Preach an ethnic blind society.

However, if you are interested in the etymology of Nyesom Wike, here is it:

It is in full: ONYESOM NWIKE

Do you even know what you are talking about?

OBJ influence sent Rotimi to exile during the 2007 guber election. Lots of Rivers people stood by Amaechi until court returned him as governor, though Amaechi's name was not on the ballot. Time passed until Amaechi embraced something strange to Rivers people - the APC.

On the other hand here, Wike won the PDP primary, remains in control of Rivers state politics even as Amaechi is governor. Wike and his Rivers people took charge of the two elections, with Amaechi totally powerless and sidelined.

If Amaechi was popular, there is no how Wike could have succeeded in rigging both presidential and guber election against Amaechi's favour.

Amaechi has nothing to lose. His party won at the federal level and he completed his second term. With the federal might he will be coming home with all the escorts. So Wike will now be the one to get Amaechi's treatment from the General.

If he has nothing to lose, why all the tension? No matter how a beautiful woman is appreciated outside, she secretly longs to be validated ahome.
Tho Amaechi ruled for 8years but certainly this is not the best of parting gifts.
Talking about Federal appointment,Wike had been there.Remember,A Minister doesn't enjoy immunity
