If Christian were to be poor on earth what relevance does the above has. To the Topic no everybody that gave-up all his belongings will still make heaven. You right and correct to say Christians are expected to leave everything for jesus and his gospel, but to be poor on earth 1Jn 1:2 opposes you.

Take King David for example He wanted to Build temple for God but he was forbidden.

The point remains sir, are you by you post implying all rich christians would be herded like sheep into hell, since christians are expected to leave everything for jesus and his gospel?

It is simply because most rich men are greedy and want to amass wealth for themselves.

The greatest commandent is love.if u love ur neighbour as urself u won't want to be eating and leave ur neighbour starving.

For instance you earn 50K a month, u pay your tithe 5k, u give to the poor 5k, and ur willing to do more as you earn more.

How many of us are willing to act this way. Act of genorosity, instead of amassing the waelth in our bank accounts?

A rich man can enter heaven, depends on ur heart,

But Jesus says otherwise to the bold, these are his words;

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.
Mathew 10:25

We all know a camel can not pass through the eye of a needle, so why do you claim to know the gospel more than Jesus?

Point of correction, I did not claim. And pls stop comparing me with Jesus, why are u committing blasphemy.

A rich man with a charitable heart who can willingly give up his wealth.

The op asked a question and everyone shares his or her ideas, I never said my answer was correct!! I just made my own comment according to my own knowledge.

I don't know why people on here are so aggressive. Why not give ur own points with love, must everything be abusive....

I think we understand ourseleves perfectly, YOU COMMENTS ARE VERY INCORRECT AS THEY CONTRADICT WHAT JESUS SAID!

I can't remember comparing you to Jesus, I can remember comparing what you said with Jesus's statement. Thus I have been able to show you that according to Jesus NO rich man will make heaven since IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A CAMEL TO PASS THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE

Thanks for your comment nevertheless!

Jesus was not talking about the eye of your mother's needle!!
In the city wall of Jerusalem, there was a small door that was opened each time the City gate was shut in the evening. A camel was to bend before it would pass through. It was so small that it was called the needles eye.

You've got a phone, so research. Don't just talk without knowledge!

And by the way Jesus said "it's hard", He didn't say "it's impossible".

the Bold Not exactly my point. What am saying is that Giving all that you have for Christ sake, must come from a pure heart and with a cause, No amount of Giving from the WICKED can be rewardable. Wealth gotten legitimately, used for gospel sake is rewardable.

As for David Example, he wasnt rejected but disallowed. Giving also must be for a cause or else it will be a show of pride. Giving for a cause must be categorically stated, i.e, to support this or that etc.

I think you a making us going off-topic,

ok, good you clarified your point, but if you read the op, Jesus statement is very clear;

Mathew 10:25

it seems you are the one going off topic since you cannot explain what Jesus is really saying!

Answering the Mathew 10:25 Question i will go by this options

Jesus statement is very clear, he says no rich man can make heaven under any circumstance, u on the otherhand is stating they will make heaven based on a certain condition being met.

Are you sure of the Bold or just deliberately messing around with Matt 10:25, See the verse Below in bold from you post

vedaxcool:

The above picture simply represents a dilemma as contained in the verse;

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.
Mathew 10:25

Jesus advised the rich man in question to sell of all his property;
Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me Mat:10:21

The problem becomes very few of Christians would make heaven
, as the phrase pass a camel through the eye of a need is meant to denote an impossible event, some thing that wouldn't and cannot happen. [s]Jesus is in essence saying no rich person can make heaven.[/s]

[b]Can Christians make camels pass through the eye of a needle? Do I sense a challenge? Christians over to you.

If you are still Confused, Why did Jesus couldn't condemned Zacchaeus the Publican despite being and extortioner but later repent

Luke 19:8-10 (KJV)
And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9- And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10- For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

The Bold n Green is my challenge to you, Because i will Make camel pass through the needle eye in this context

DEAR DELIBERATE MOCKER, YOU ASKED A QUESTION ON THIS THREAD....

Rilwayne001:

Mar 10:21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." ……Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is FOR THE RICH to enter the kingdom of God!" … Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you! "I tell you the truth,".....

AND TOTALLY AND ENTIRELY ANSWERED IT HERE....

Rilwayne001:

...... Jesus replied, no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive "A HUNDRED
TIMES" as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields--and with them, persecutions) and in the age TO COME, eternal life.

... Observe the part I quoted in your post.SO YOU CLEARLY KNEW JESUS PUT THAT RICH YOUNG RULER TO TEST BUT DELIBERATELY CHOSE TO IGNORE.

Once again after the mountain expedition we are witnessing how the biblical writters attribite statements or actions to jesus that either fails to convey what is really happen or words that are illogical or whose meanings would be damning to most christians alive.

Can christians make camels pass through the eye of a needle? Do I sense a challenge? christians over to you.

The eye of a needle is the name if a narrow gate in ancient day Israel where camels at the end of a market found it hard passing through with their wares on. For a camel to pass through that particular gate late after the close of market when the main gates have been locked, the wares on it have to be unloaded and then depending on its size, could pass mostly with great difficulty.

stop reading the bible the way you read the Qur'an, the bible is not a story book.

The problem as confirmed here is that you read none of the books else you would have known that the Bible is more of a compilation of different stories by random writers. No wonder there are so many variations with regard to same event. of course I don't expect Chinua Achebe and Wole Soyinka to give a same story line for a same title. it's just pathetic that a "book of God (really)?" was made an avenue to display writing skills.

you would have as well known that far from that is the Glorious Qur'an!
