On my left is Elymaxiimus, aka ElymaxCray. He's one of the youngest among us but his penmanship is unmatched. He's a lyrical virtuoso who implies a nasty ordnance of finely-tuned techniques in the game. We can only get another Elymaxiimus if Eminem and The Notorious BIG successfully gangb.ang Lil Kim on a very hot afternoon.

And on my right is the incredible punchline and flow terrorist from the Naija Delta, Jig to the Saw to the Killah!! Undoubtedly, he's the most frequent free-stylist on the FFR. F-ck fuel scarcity and power failure, Jig is possessed with a tremendous inbuilt energy to banter and go back and forth with any murtherfucker in the game till he's exhausted. I'd call Jigsaw 'The Rap Shekau', because he keeps coming back each time they rumour about his demise.

This is great. Jigsaw dey form Tay Roc for this brawl. I can tell that he stole this style from URL. If he dropped something this strong, he woulda won alll his previous battles. Max did well and more creative. I rate max above jig so I always expect him to surpass himself. If a winner must emerge, I may slighlty tilt towards max but for now, its looking like a draw to me. But let me read once more.

the two battlers completely veered and deviated from the stereotypical ibime's signature punchline pattern & style that has become very boring & generic due to its excessive usage by various battlers

from the first look, this battle is a tie.

i read it again 5 times & it was still a tie. they both had a similar style & they simply cancelled each other out. there's no ray of light between the two.

it's a nairaland classic.

Of course my vote does not count, but I think some personals and wordplays flew over some people's heads. Elymaxcay had more personals than jigsaw, he takes that for me.

am I the only one seeing the 'all throw pods/arthropods' line? jigsaw took wordplays for me

This is the dopest battle of the year so far. Like I said earlier, both glads came with fire. I've read and studied the verses twice now and everything was almost a tie. But then, lemme break it down...

Opener - Max

Rhymes - Jigsawkillah (his rhymes were neat and nearly perfect. I'm not talking number of syllables here)

Flow - Max (the difference is not much, though)

Wordplay - Jigsawkillah (I like the way he fixed 'despair', race and 'day care' in his lines, but that arthropod (bug), beardin/beaheading and television parts didn't play well with the sound and setup. Elymax, your Samsung, breakfast, supper and derica lines are a bit forced. I'll take your gymnastics and Lagos wordies)

Metaphors - Tie (can't separate it)

Punchlines - Tie

Personal - Tie

Closer - Tie

Jig got a little edge over from the wordplay criterion. This battle is a close call, can go either way, though.
