@ fadajasi

I believe Nigeria has a higher pedigree than the Republic of Ireland when it comes to football. Ireland may have been playing football a long time before Nigeria started, but the Irish have not achieved much. Nigeria produces a lot of good players yearly. I would even prefer it if Samson Siasia's Olympic team to Beijing play the Irish National team. I know Siasia's boys will defeat Ireland.

Nigeria has players like Osaze Odemwingie, Chinedu Ogbuke, Obinna Nsofor, Victor Anichebe, Yusuf Ayila, etc. The bitter truth is that if Siasia gets to handle Late Coach Tella's boys [u-20 ] , they will change their mentalty and become solid players who play with a passion. It is clear that Siasia is the future coach of the Super Eagles.

Nigeria needs to start playing countries like Croatia, Czech Republic, Russia, Paraguay, Poland etc. That is if we can't play the top teams like Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Holland, Italy, France, Portugal etc etc. Let us do things with seriousness. Over to the Glass House.

I rest my case.

Something Must be done urgent . . . except if they won't our football to go on seasonal break . . . for about 5 years.

and maybe waiting for the worldcup winning U-17 to grow and replace this scraps . . , for the best player now is Osaze + the Uche Bros . .who are in no top club abroad.its sad

I cant even believe we will be playing very soon and none of our players are match fit, well maybe with the exception of the Uche bros.
The situation calls for urgency or maybe the 5 year seasonal break aint a bad idea afterall. grin

The only sport that irish men are good at are the ones where they beat the s**t out of eachother, i.e rugby and boxing.  wink
Soccer is too sissy like for them!
Re: Nigeria Vs Ireland [1-1]: May 29 2009 by emmaco24(m): 11:41am On Mar 24, 2009
The reason we can't negotiate with better countries is simply because of the lack of organizational ability in NFF.They go for countries that will accept smaller portions of the gate takings.
I can remember that England once paid Brazil 15 million pounds for a friendly game in 2007.
Also, the coach sure wants to keep his job and playing stronger teams will sure expose technical flaws in the Super Eagles which may lead to his sack.
Abi u no go like do anything to keep your job?

Even if ireland drew with Italy, thanks to R.keane's goal, must we always play them? What about countries like Russia.Poland, Turkey or even Croatia?

Nig vs Ireland is like L'pool playing Chelsea in the UCL,very predictable!

isn't 26th of May the Day the last games of the EPL?

when wud Naija ever be bold enof to have a friendly against countries like Germany, England,Italy, spain, and other Eurean soccer-Lords, they should stop fooling us with these low rated countries. if they must do well qualifying for the next worldcup they musy be bold to face tough countries.
i have no predictions about this match, if they like make dem qualify,
dem neva transfer any money enter my account b4.

when will Amodu field the best Central Defender in the country

Dele Adeleye

This is why I can not wait for Amodu to be replaced by Siasia, the olympic combination is better than the current Super Eagles.

After the 4-1 debacle against Ghana, I promised myself I wouldn't going to any Naija match anymore. How often must we play the same nonsense teams in London? Every year, it seems we're playing Ireland or Jamaica or Ghana. Abeg they should go and beg Paraguay or Japan for rematch cos we couldn't beat them last time we played. Naija is so far low that Gambian national team believe they have a chance to schedule friendly match with Naija. See insult.

A-40:

All the top countries will like to play Nigeria but all those countries always have a 2 years calendar at anytime which makes it difficult for a firebrigade country like ours.
