Initialize,talking about polytechnics in a rather shrewd manner is very bad,you need to know whats going on there before you say stuff about polys

As per the 3g sims,someone here at my place here as got a prepaid line with full 3g reception,i just wonder why there are exceptions to sim cards that can enjoy the 3g service,as someone said,if you've got a valid id and you work for a reputable organisation,mhen that's what i call BULLSHIT

Moreover 3G signal isn't just used for Data channels, it is a general upgrade on the network cos it affects the voice channel also. the main thng needed for an internet connection is just an access to the accesspoint. its the configuration on the acespoint that shld determine what signal type to connet to and as we r all experiancing, presently normal lines can only connect to the wap access point. i feel zain is just trying to hv a more organised administration by not integrating all there lines with the same packages cos of congestion and maintainance sakes. i guess u just got educated bro! so pls try not to just open ur mouth thinking u know too much cos all ur recent post hv been on accusing someone of not knowing what he is saying and all that. be a lil bit more matured pls

I didn't talk about the POLY as a bad institution, why i mentioned the polytechnic is simply because they do more practical than the UNI here in Nigeria (when I say that; it's from experience). If someone that has gotten technical knowledge from this forum and wants to start proving what he finds difficult to understand, then there's real issue.

Even if you are going to graduate in a month time doesn't mean you know all what you profess. You still need to come and collect this sim to really understand what this arguement is about. I wouldn't say much to you cause I know that you being the same person you are wouldn't understand a thing without seeing how it works

thanks for the mail, It's what i'm posting with right now. i used it with 2 different zain sims(normal and 3G) on the same access point (WAP). The difference is very clear.

I'll try to help you get the sim this week and will inform you when I have it for pick up, try to be patient. It took me 5 times visit to zain office at different locations, 3 weeks and some amount of naira, but yours wouldn't be more than #200 and some patience. so pls be,

Hey guys I think we should take a chill pill on the attacks. I did not like the comment made including the polythecnic. It has always been an issue in the country. It has nothing to do with this thread cos someone who did not go to school can actually know a lot about gsm technology.

Lets focus on what we can learn abt browsing on zain be it free or paid for and leave other things out of it.

I think nairaland give room for helping each other when one has a problem,since my being a member ,I've NOT posted a difficult task to get a solution. it's discouraging,
1) I dont have the mtn new browsing code
2) I cant use operamini to browse on my phone,i tried to download Version 4.2,1.2,2.06 and version 3 onto my nokia 6070 phone, still i cant browse.

download modified opera mini (opera multi handler) either 4.1 or 4.2, get someone to help you download 'mtn prov' file and then send the prov file to your nokia 6070 via bluetooth. the prov file appears as a configuration message on your phone and you'll be required to save it. Go to settings, connection and select the prov as your default access pnt., then activate default for all application and you can now use the operas i mentioned on your phone without issues. =next time you want to buy a phone for browsing and co, make sure it's a s60 phone, s40 phones have browsing wahala.
