In spite of the recent killing perpetrated by Islamist sect, Boko Haram, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, June 18, 2015 extended his hand of friendship to the terror group, referring to them as ‘brothers’.

President Buhari made the remarks as part of his message to Muslims in the country who join their counterparts around the world to mark the holy month of Ramadan.

In the message, which was signed by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, President Buhari urged Boko Haram insurgents to end their killings as they were tarnishing the image of the Islamic religion.

Since his inauguration on Friday, May 29, 2015, Boko Haram fighters have carried out over a dozen attacks, killing scores of citizens, none of which has been condemned or even addressed by President Buhari.

He urged Muslims to be “helpful to all manner of people, learning and following the true message of the religion as taught by the Holy Prophet.”

To the insurgents, President Buhari said:
“As we make collective efforts to bring to a permanent end the menace of the Boko Haram in the Lake Chad basin countries, let me use this auspicious occasion to appeal to our misguided brothers to drop their arms, embrace peace and seek a better understanding of Islam during this Holy period and beyond.
“I wish all our citizens a blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Kareem Mubarak.”

Of course, they're his brothers and he'll try his best to protect their interest. But he won't see anything wrong in bombing creeks in the South South. Brainless Fulani man!

In that case no problem. Let his brothers heed his solemn appeal. Pls the President's handlers should be careful on the things they allow the president to say to the populace. Nigerians are very good in reading meanings into what our leaders say. I know this post will make fp

People can be annoying most times,

Are Boko boys not Nigerians?

Even if there are foreigners among them, most of them are Nigerians. I also think Buhari did the right thing by extending love to them, after these gesture, its showdown for them.

Funny enough I don't blame the old coup plotter. You know it was actually southerners who carried the Bring back our girls so much, even southern Nollywood actresses like Patience Ozorkwor. Meanwhile the Kano film fools didn't say nothing, but came to take pictures with their grandpa Buhari.

Or is it Okorocha and Amaechi, who started off with dazzle, then forgot who they were or where they came from, or the mandate of their people, to go and tie scarf and dance for Islamist.

Now the cloud has settled, and next, Port Harcourt will be bombed, and rightfully so

President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Thursday said that the federal government will resist any attempt by the Boko Haram terrorists to take over control of any town or village within the country.

The president stated this at the PDP presidential campaign rally in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital.

The president who said the federal government is committed to ending the insurgency expressed happiness that Yobe is presently free of the dreaded sect, the Boko Haram.

The president said.

Dr Goodluck Jonathan expressed sadness that Boko Haram members have been causing havoc to innocent people and destroying various communities stressing that such era is over.

He also said “It is unfortunate that our brothers and sisters have turned mad against us and have left us with these sad memories”.

Jonathan promised that his administration is committed to improving the lives of the people despite the activities of the insurgents and listed areas of intervention in the state to include; the introduction of the Great Green World, GGW and other efforts in fighting desert encroachment that will create enabling environment to farmers and pastoralists in the state and beyond.

He called on the people of the state to vote massively for the PDP pointing out that the party will consolidate on the gains of democracy thereby creating enabling environment for farmers, civil servants and businessmen alike.

The Vice president Namadi Sambo on his part calls on the people of the north east to vote for PDP which has return rail transport up to Gombe and assured that as the war against the insurgency is gradually getting over, it will be extended to Yobe and Maiduguri the Borno state capital.

The gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state, Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri while thanking the president and his entourage for the visit assures the president that Yobe state will be delivered to the PDP.

If at all u have a small piece of brain in ur skull you'd have deciphered the difference between GEJ's comment and Buhari's. GEJ expressed 'sadness' over the havoc ur brothers are causing in the north, and he did his best (despite ur witchcraft wishes that he failed) to wipe them off from Yobe state. But ur Buhari today is offering them amnesty and, at the same time, ordering the airforce to bomb creeks in the South South. Are those militants as dangerous as ur Boko haram brothers? Answer me

You are as useless as the thread you created. Show me where Buhari proposed amnesty for them since he assumed office. If people who pose great danger to our economy and national security are found in the SS, or where ever that may be, it's within the right of the Nigerian Military to stop them by whatever means necessary.
