How do you determine the ones that should take priorities?
by looking at the contents of both issues.

I actually work better under pressure and enjoy working in a challenging environment not the ones that will make you sleep while working. cheesy

All I have to do is prioritize my responsibilities so as to have an idea of what I'm working on and which has to be done first asap.

I've done some best work under tight deadlines where the atmosphere was very stressful smiley

I have read what most people advised and it appears most people have mastered how to copy what is on the Internet and regurgitate same during interview session. As a HR expert, let me remind you that sound panelists gauges what you say, what you didn't say, how convincing you say them, your countenance etc. We do this because every interview is different and we can easily detect a liar when answering this very important question. We do not expect a fresh graduate to have the same stress leve or conflict management skills with an experienced person. We do not expect someone who has never worked in any organisation to start telling us "Actually, I work better under pressure because it brings out the best in me".
I won't give us any answering pattern to memorize but I will do well to give us an idea of the HRM expectations about this vital question during interview session.
The hiring manager already knows as a doctrine of necessity that a fresh hire needs additional training (induction) to be properly groomed. So, the question for a fresh graduate implies, tell us how you "intend" to handle work and workplace pressure? Please note that this means both work pressure and pressure from other employees. Then for the experienced hire or manager, the question means, please tell us your technics for handling pressure? So, we expect in a sincere candidate, for the former to merely define pressure and tell us his/her theoretical understanding while the latter is expected to tell us how he/she "has been" handling pressure. Interviews are used to ascertain a candidate's suitability but it also helps us to assess your integrity and honesty. Sometimes we ask you questions that you must not have answer and if you try to be mischievous, that may cost you the job. Although, we understand the desperation of an average candidate to impress and get the job but lies are taken seriously.
Unfortunately, in the quest to impress most freshers think they are smart by telling us how they have been handling pressure. Some even tell us how working under pressure has made them better managers and this is someone who has never worked anywhere going by the CV submitted. I hope we have an idea now?

Nihilist:
I assume that this a question you've been asked by an interviewer so I'll answer it like that:

1. Assessment:

You need to do something called an RCA(Root Cause Analysis)
a:Where is the pressure coming from?
b:What is the cause of the pressure?
c:Can this pressure be mitigated?
d:What steps can be taken to mitigate this pressure?

2. Requirement Gathering:

a:What materials, tools, expertise are required to mitigate this pressure?
b:Where can they be found?
c: What are the cost implications in terms of finances, time, or man hours?

3: Planning

a: Based on the steps taken above, implement a plan to mitigate pressure
b: Test/Model intended solution iteratively where possible.
c: Create use case model/UML diagrams to document plans
b: Create an RFC(Request for Change document)

3: Communication:

a:Communicate with all stakeholders to assess their grieviances,aims/objectives, etc.
b:Present documentation on how you intend to mitigate the pressure
c: Manage stakeholder expectations -Under-Promise and Over-Deliver

4: Implementation.

a: Implement your plan.
b: Ensure stakeholder satisfaction to the best of your ability.

It's easy to sound very knowledgeable. But making actual sense? Not so.

I was asked this question once or twice .. And what I always say is,

" I'm not one to make quick/rash decisions because somebody says so. I would rather do it right the first time. Maybe my slow methodical nature might be frowned upon for a moment but mistakes last much longer and usually have more severe effects."

And that's the truth.. In the long run. Diligence is always remembered and rewarded over speed. I'm saying this not just for what you should answer in your interview but for what you should do in real life too.

I'll give you a practical example. I had an assessment for training at my workplace. It was dealing with highly sensitive and expensive equipment. My instructor was trying to rush me because he wanted us to finish before 12pm and there were several ppl after me.. I simply looked him and asked him if he wanted this done right.. He cannot say no to that.. He kept quiet and i took my time and did all the steps correctly. The next guy after me came and the instructor tried to rush him.. The guy started rushing and made several silly mistakes. The instructor started shouting and was pissed. The instructor was like "why can't you take your time and do it like @kingbilo" grin

That my friend is how it works in the workplace.. If you carry someone else's pressure on your head, you carry the risk also

Me think that when you enjoy what you do. (Your Job) you shouldn't have pressure.

Try make your Job enjoyable to you. Crate a lively place even on the Job and you won't have pressure.
