Shouldn't Marijuana use be a personal choice like cigarette or Ogogoro.

Unlike cigarette, marijuana actually has medicine value (abi i dey lie). I know you guys would say marijuana has side effects and would destroy your brain cells blah blah blah but what drugs (soft or hard) doesn't have side effects? morphine and oxycotton are addictive but somehow they are legal. What's the difference between marijuana and opiates that are legal?

Legalize Marijuana would help the economy. California benefits from medicinal marijuana sales. Useless states like Ekiti could finally generate some internal revenue from ganja taxes.

Another thing is the historical significance of Marijuana. Thomas Jefferson cultivated cannabis at monte carlo , benjamin franklin smoked weed too (why do you think he was studying thunder & lightning ). Marijuana has always been used in many cultures with minimal harm.

Finally, Drug addiction is mental health issue and not a criminal one.

Smoke weed and you shall suceed . Obama did it, Clinton did it, GWB did it (oops bad example).

good point, a drug loses its cult status when the stigma is lifted off it. Most people don't know that cocaine was once an ingredient in COCA cola. Alcohol prohibition made the problem worse rather than solving it.

the FG and most states don't recognize medicinal marijuana.  It wasn't until the Obama administration that federal agents couldn't bust down medicinal marijuana stores.  Codeine was available off the counter until it was realized freaks were getting high on that stuff (benilyn sure does taste sweet)

Marijuana possession is now just a misdemeanor in Maryland or so. Good news.
