Welldone guys. Please just a quick question based on what a brother is passing through. Please what are the necessary tests needed to find out if a man has candida albicans? Each time he gets his urine cultured, nothing gets discovered but his girlfriend keeps having recurring candida after treatment. She feels she's getting it from the man though the guy's culture yields nothing.

Please sir/ma I have a question to ask and I will really appreciate you quick response to it.
I am a graduate of Biochemistry (B.tech) and my question is that IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A GRADUATE OF BIOCHEMISTRY TO GET A JOB OR EVEN APPLY FOR A JOB IN A MEDICAL LAB?. Because i did my industrial training (IT) in a medical lab and I have the knowledge of everything done in the lab expecially chemical pathology aspect. Please I need a quick answer, Thank and God bless.

MLSCN says its not possible!! Mr Man were you not tired of the demeaning, scornful, harsh shitty treatment metted on you by the medical laboratory scientists you were working with during your Industrial Training (IT)? mR, you can now starting preping to write ICAN to become an Accountant or alternatively go back to 200 Level and try hard again to study medicine or MLS

Please any opening for Interns in Lagos?
Re: Medical Laboratory Scientists Forum by Nobody: 10:47am On Oct 15, 2013
You cannot work in service lab because ur career path is different. Graduates of life sciences are trained to conduct basic medical research. Therefore, they work in hospital with research laboratories. Nigeria is lagging behind in basic medical research due to poor funding. However, ubth, uch, fmc asaba and so on, i think those centres have research labs.

Chinonye, where are you practicing? I am interested.

Jovlar, I am happy you are enjoying your time at Ado Ekiti. I'll definitely check out your blog. Trust that I will leave a comment for you.

Dominique, your comment reminds me of the hard times the profession has passed through but cheer up, we are already on the path to self actualization. The evolution of

Gud day Benard, am happy to meet this forum. I am a medical laboratory science student of Imo state university. Pls my people it is my humble suggestion that we dont waste our time here typing irrelevant issues whereas we have important matters at hand like the issue of upgrading the degree of medlab. This matter has being in senate for very long time now and nothing was done and all medlab students, lecturers , prof, and practicing scientists are not showing any sign of concern. Are u happy after spending the same yrs with optometry student, they leave wt Dr of optometry while we the bedrock of medicine keep going wt Bmls. Pls let us joins hands and announce this forum to follow our bill in senate. It is ur own, ur profession, ur carer, ur life the medrock of medicine we are talking about.
