The way you handle your ish is different from how Mr B will handle his. In this case he is not here for self pity and if you read through very well, you will see a whole lot of maturity.
He voiced out on an issue which was bothering him and I believe he was a little bit relieved after pouring out how he felt, a good thing to do rather than bottling it up and causing psychological/emotional trauma.
Let me expansiate for better comprehension, a bad business can lead to depression and we all know how devastating it is to be depressed. Best way to handle depression is by making your problems known to the right person or people who could profer help.
Lastly, I am absolutely sure he isn't seeking for self pity but to let people know about the situation on ground, same method he used (voicing out) has fuelled the fleet company to be on their toes regarding his issue and who knows if he had kept quiet how Long it would take Ogunvic to get the cat out.
Before coming out to make your view known, try to have a better understanding on the situation of things.

I don't know Prodigy and neither do I know Ogunvic, I am just stating the obvious.

I agree that he should take some blame. Especially when he notice all these signs He should have just cut his losses. When he notice how ogunvic41 was doing. But I don't think he is asking for sorry from anybody. I think he is letting the public known his experience dealing with fleet coy. There is nothing wrong with that. If you are happy driving your own car, that is good for you. Let other people make their own decisions, those that will learn will learn also.. And him voicing out his experience in my opinion has help a lot of people. I will also encourage people to come out and voice their own opinion .so that we can all learn and make better business decisions down the line.

All this janded guys self. Just wondering, if you feel the country was crystal. What are you doing over there serving white men or perhaps selling drugs. Come back to naija then and manage your fleet. Personally i don't take you guys serious. They will be like me and my friend want to bring in 24 cars. My brother keep your cars to yourself. That we drive our cars doesn't mean we can't buy more. We have many source of income. Trust me most of us here are bigger than you and your partners. Continue selling drugs until you hammer, then you can bring in 50 cars alone. We don't need your cars fool.

Coolbenzino:
My brother I understand how you feel, sorry about all this. But I will
advise you quit your job and drive your car yourself if it is that important to you. Besides you didn't consult us before venturing into this business. I expect to see scores of weekly incomes here to motivate other driver partners not your sorry ass. Sorry though but some of us quited our jobs to do this. Do same that's my advise otherwise take your sorry ass some where and stop consuming my data.

I have not posted on this thread since the complaints by prodigyx1, I was stuck on the fence because by 1st week of febuary I will be going into fleet management and I didn't want to look like an oportunist.
kayode and romeo are both very good friends of mine, and they do a lot of consultancy work in my place.

I feel very responsible for putting prodigyx1 in this mess, because I advertised car here, sold car to him, introduced the person who registerd it(pattybf), introduced the person who installed a tracker(fogman), introduced the lady who insured it(axamansard), and finally I introduced kayode to manage vehicle for him.

Before all this spiralled out into cyberspace I called kayode and told him to clean up this mess ASAP, I cannot describe the kind of pressure kayode goes through every day managing a mix of humans and machines, especially when peugeots are involved (blood sucking machines my opinion) sadly he could have managed this better.

On several occasion I have adviced kayode to stay behind the scenes and allow romeo do the talking.

Kayode is not a scammer, he is very pasionate about what he does, He needs to work on his client management skills.

prodigyx1 I am really sorry about all this, I have spoken with the insurance lady, and she in turn spoke with the owner of the other car, and they have reached an agreement which should commence Monday morning. I want to belive he will go to stalion motors to get an invoice for repair (Thank God for insurance), your vehicle will also be realeased too so you can get a repair invoice.

Problems like this can be solved easily if some of us can see the bigger picture.

The statement I am not begging for cars is very uncalled for and arrogant.

You are destroying customer confidence for not just your self, but for other upcoming honest fleet managers.

With all the noise we make on this thread, we do not account for up to 0.2per of the number of vehicles on the E-hailing platforms.

I hope issues like this will be settled promptly outside of NL, as accidents are bound to happen.

Finally I am glad you took my advice and insured with one of the best. Axamansard

Gazzuzz

I am delighted! And I mean no disrespects, but this is a much better way to handle issues: matured, pointed and urbane. No arrogance. I mean, look at the extensive chain of reputation and interconnected businesses this minor issue would have ruptured. More wisdom Sir.

By God's grace, I will put a car on that fleet this year.

Why the emphasis on her speaking Yoruba?
If he doesn't understand the language, how did he know she was relating their location to the person on the other end of the line?
Why assume she was calling people to harm him when he was the one who disagreed to continue with the trip under the guise of not knowing her destination while the lady claims he requested to have the trip in cash or offline?
His big mistake was taking the girl to his house. Who does that?

Thanks for this, he is a stark illiterate, a dimwit, frustrated, , depressed, confused, demented kid, he is suffering from inadequate personality and he needs psychiatric evaluation before he is confined to a rehab center, I pity the innocent woman he is living with, he is a disappointment and does not deserve to be responded to, I am not boasting but for the sake of all he said up there against me, without knowing me, I am sure if he sees me physically in Nigeria, he will work as a gardener for me, clean my house, wash my car and he will be an errand boy carrying my bag, but the Internet has given him the opportunity to open his maggot infested mouth to talk nonsense here, with people like him in Nigeria and the way he talks, I pity his miserable life

His big mistake was taking the girl to his house. Who does that?

His argument that he drove to a safe place which was not even far from the lady's pick up location is tenable in court. If his house is where he feels safe, fine!. Remember he is the plaintiff and he is suing the lady for defamation. Its the lady that needs to prove beyond reasonable doubt the plaintiff is truly a rapist and kidnapper he alleged him to be.

Remember she didn't only accuse him in the heat of the moment when they had the misunderstanding, she published the Guy's picture and called him a rapist/kidnapper on social media hours after the whole saga. If there is anything like "premeditated defamation of character" then she should be guilty of that as well.

Its either the guy goes to jail for raping and kidnapping or he gets discharged, acquitted and of course compensated. Your guess is as good as mine.

There are many lies being peddeled on this thread.

Ask yourself why a guy who works night and day, and who was paying 55k weekly will just drive a car into water. Does that make sense?

There will be a day the truth will be revealed. For now, let everyone believe what they want to.

Kindly take note:

I receive several calls regularly from individuals about how to venture into this business. We talk about several risk factors and how to mitigate them.

From my little experience, I've come to discover that the major risk factor is the " Human Factor ".

Lets Tak a look at the Ogunvic case. The accident is not in any way special. Accidents happen anytime.

In fact the car owner already had an insurance package in place to mitigate the risk.
However a Human being ( human factor) put a clog in the wheel of Progress ( consciously or unconsciously ).

A lot of people worry about the car ( machine) in this business and I tell them a car is just a machine.

If it develops a fault . You get a technician and fix it and move on.

Worst case scenario you can even sell and move on.

What happens when a human being develops a fault?? cry

What happens when your team is made up of faulty human beings

Message to all existing and prospective investors in this business. Take your time and work on the human factors.

Pray, fast, visit your Pastor or Imam or Herbalist and learn how to Assemble the right team.

Don't be deceived it take time, effort and maybe a bit of luck to get it right. Maybe some principles to follow as well.

@angelicbeing and other investors. You can actually invest in this country. Even if you bring in 50 cars at once the Market is ripe for such. However you need the right team to make it work.

To all existing and intending fleet managers out there. Take time to work on this.

Following Uber America forum, I just found out Uber pays driver/partners for Puke/mess caused by riders, is this attainable in Nigeria too? In America drivers receive as much as $200 for puke in cars.
