roblance:if you are asked the question explain to the v.o that you filled the form before you were granted the leave and that you might not even spend up to the 10 days as you stated, only answer what you are asked so you don't say something and the interviewer sees another in the form, you might not be given a chance to explain yourself |

schweinsteiger I still insist you couldn't have gone for that interview, I know someone with a similar story but it's too long so I won't narrate all, an agent helped her and daughter fill forms, daughter went in for interview alone was granted and given a letter to come back with mother since she's just 12 years old, daughter was supposed to be going for one gymnastics thing or whatever, the agent now went and added some adults that work in the bank to the group with those little kids claiming they were going for gymnastics too just see the foolishness of these agents, na so the person whey dey interview vex refuse them all and retracted the granted letter the little girl was given, mother was supposed to be attending interview as she also applied to accompany her daughter to the u.s, she didn't go for the interview because she said she wasn't sure of the rubbish the agent had filled in the form and she no want wahala, that was the wisest thing to do then. I advise if you can get the copy of the form he filled for you it will do you good, call the so called agent up and tell him to give you a copy of the form her filled for you, so you can see what and what he filled and rectify in your next application. No need to blame American Embassy those folks know what they are doing. |

justwise:as much as a refusal can be heart breaking and annoying I think if one still don't go back and address those issues you think was wrong and continue to blame American Embassy you will never learn just like Rahmeek is always blaming American embassy *abeg I don hide* |

ikanason:Your advice is to be prepared. Read both threads. Get a grasp of the interview process so u don't learn from being denied but from other folk's experience.. Make sure your form is propery filled and don't misrepresent. |

chloe7:Be like say u chop plenty akpu this morning nne u get plenty energy. Me still de sleep like dundee. Anywys Shwein...I admit I was ascerbic in my earlier response ( my part time rudeness ). Yes I have a visa and so? I'll give u the advise my former boss gave me. Don't listen to the tone of the message rather take the (if any) wisdom contained in the message. U refused to listen to advice prior To your interview. U have now complicated your next application. U have blamed every other person nd are yet to apportion any to yourself. Always take responsibility for ur actions. And researchh and do the right thing. Its better. That's my fullstop on this your issue though I still de laff sha 1 Like |

For future applicants and on this our thread issue.I just helped an aunt fill her ds 160 and it helped me re-realise that the form is pretty straight forward and couched in such a way that one cannot claim a mistake in the form. Apart from typos, there's no way one can get away with a defence of mistake or error cos the person clearly lied. Again, I'd like to point out that the key to a successful interview is not who or what u have in the US. For egs. U may say u want tovisit your aunty Hilary or uncle Trump and they invited u. Cool. Both of them are high profile but that's beyond the point. Shebi somebody said he just wanted to see snow and he got? The issue is YOU THE APPLICANT. What do u have to bring u back to nigeria? It mustnt be a fat bank account. From what we have seen, the vos are swayed by certain factors *Job- both the quality and time spent. Take for egs the example, a person who works online, can that be classed as ties? *Marriage- A married person is assumed to be less likely to run away. *Travel history- Its also assumed one who has seen better climes and returned to Naija won't run away And some other factors. But note, these above factors aren't cast in stone. Cos non travelled, non married and jobless folks have gotten visas so that question ' what are my chances?' Is really a senseless question. Self evaluate and tell yourself the probability. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

nefertitiram:truth is he isn't even saying if Na so abi no be so, he is just saying the v.o denied him unjustly because he didn't know anything about he(the applicant) job and had to ask a colleague |

schweinsteiger:did you fill your ds-160 form yourself? Did you pay your visa fees yourself? What and what did the agent help you out with, please let's be clear here so we have a way forward. |
