Multiple explosions on Thursday evening rocked Maiduguri, the Borno State capital causing tension among residents, DAILY POST has learnt.

Some residents are calling relations to find out the direction of the explosion.

The first explosion was heard around 6:20pm, followed by several other explosions leading to serious confusion.

It could be recalled that, Boko Haram hit Ajilari Cross on Tuesday killing over 20 persons and injuring many.

DAILY POST gathered that the first explosion occurred at Molai mosque killing all worshipers, whereas the second hit rescuers who went to save the victims.

Residents of Molai said many corpses and victims were being rushed to Molai General Hospital.

According to residents the situation is very bad with human parts littered every where

Residents fear that the end to insurgency in Borno may not be too soon, as government according to them, is not doing enough to assure the people of its determination to end the carnage by the Islamic sect in the northeast.

I dont get it! Are these Boko haram people greater in numbers than the Nigeria Army.

Nigeria Army show us dead bodies of BH everyday, but the numbers of BH activities soar. Are they recruiting members everyday or the Nigeria army are deluding us by showing us pictures of innocent people.

Am very sure BH members are not up to 5,000 members. If we cant win the war on our own, please let us invite the Russians and the American army to help us wipe this people away once and for all.

With all these, i doubt if the December target can be achieve. May God help us in this country.

If true, then its a damn shame. The government needs to task the jolly playing Americans to get serious, and start pulling their weight in this struggle, if they truly want to help us meet the President's deadline.

Life is a precious thing one shouldn't in any way play with. Some pple accomodated, cheered and supported this group before now, when they were killing non muslims.



Politically, some had this as their source of attack, wishing BH strikes every minute of the day. I doubt they have such prayer now.


Know wat u support in any condition as u don't know wat tomorrow will bring back to u.

Do you think this is open warfare? No, it is being waged underground, hiding among civilians to plant bombs. The Nigeria Army cannot be everywhere at all times!
