As custom demands, once you have paid the bride price, the lady is yours. Some even add TRADITIONAL wedding join. Christ Himself acknowledge customs and traditions but that did not stop Him from telling people the right thing which is d words of His father. However as Christians (Christ like) we need to follow His principles in the scriptures. Mark 10:9 clearly told us that "Man must not separate, then, what God has joined together." So that is why Christians are enjoined to bless their marriage in the presence of God. |

FREEEMANAN: Yes white wedding is also a matter of union... Once a couple is married they are married.. Once a dowry and traditional rites are performed in Africa the couple are officially husband and wife..
