Looool. He should make it quintuplets - we need to take Yoruba's population to China's level. grin

Yes, big fan of Davido, Dbanj, and Burna boy fan. Every time I lock into afrobeats - I just check for the three of them. Then wizkid sometimes. grin

This is my tune right here.

Davido is gangsta - I like him the way he's. That's how my Osun folks get down like the thugnificent tupacshakur on these sides. grin

Nah, "Suddenly" is my favourite Dbanj tune. Once my boy got me into it during Uni times, it was on repeat everyday. grin

Sagging is basically just part of urban fashion. I'm not even gonna lie, I still sag as well, no matter what I wear, even when I'm dapper. Albeit not the way he does, but a little bit. I can't pull whatever trouser I wear up to my waist - it's going to look awkward. And I don't even have a waist loool. So I gotta sag a bit. That's how trill nyggahs keep it trill. grin

Burna boyyyy! The doozy - he got that swag from South London!!! South side of the thames river, we outchere!!

That's a banging tune.

Ok, this should win you over - it's the doozy, burna boy, again.

Which black fashion.

Sagging began in jail as a "come and get me, I'm ready" signal from one male prisoner to the next.

I doubt they sagged when they hunted.

It's like the guy is trying so hard to be Yoruba. You can just tell. I like that, but I still don't like his songs.

Now this is music cool

Nah, it's cos they don't give them belts in prison. In prison, the prisoners always use the elastic bands of their boxers as belts. grin

So, are you telling me that Yoruba ancestors didn't sag with the Yoruba trousers you need ropes for? I dunno but I can't wear Yoruba trads without saggin cos that ish will sag even if you don't want to. Then what about the slaves? Can you see the evolution of sagging now and how it went from one generation to the other? grin

I think his mum is Yoruba and his dad was Fela Kuti's manager. But he's dope.

I don't know about the tune you posted - but I like the guy on the tune he made with that wack rapper, Ice Prince. grin Catchy tune and he made the tune big, not Ice Prince.

Yes the tax collection system is archaic but in reality, Our people are already over taxed without any benefit.
Education trust fund tax ? We pay most of that as well while other states piggyback on our little allocation and social infrastructure.
Fact is the people are simply beating about the bush and denying the truth.
NO STATE,TOWN, CITY OR FARMING SETTLEMENT IN YORUBALAND IS UNVIABLE. THAT IS WHY THEY EXIST.
All of our cities were all viable city state before Nigeria.

Do you mean before 1914 when the Northern and Southern Protectorates were merged to form Nigeria or before which year?
Thanks.

Shymmex, we didn't sag. We had "ropes" made out of the remaining fabrics

Sagging began in Jail [America to be precise]. Check out how black men dressed in the 50s compared to now.

Lol you remind me of my lil brother whose alwaus asking for ropes for his trad cloth. You guys and your oversided sokoto [pant] grin grin grin

Sagging didn't begin in jail - slaves sagged. African ancestors sagged. Etc.. grin

^^^This is the alternative to sagging. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Shyte, every time I wear Yoruba trads, the trouser always sag itself - that's if the rope doesn't break. I have crazy experiences, I tell ya. grin grin

Check out my favourite Wizkid tune...shyte, I rocked this shyte in Uni. You can definitely dance bashment to this and raves used to go nuts whenever it comes on.

Yoruba trousers have no elasticity so they sag if your tailor keeps designing oversized pants for you.

Yorubas do not sag [maybe the American-wannabes]. I'll personally smack my brothers back to sense if I ever catch them sagging [because I'm their boss].

Hate that song.

Nigerian music all sounds the same.

Nice contributions everyone especially the new posters Katsumoto and Delarue. They've definitely added some new kind of energy to this thread

I won't be as active on this thread as I used to be but I'll continue to view the thread so don't be surprised when you see Aareonakakanfo viewing grin

I'm still very much active on nairaland,my schedule hasn't changed but I'll prefer taking a backseat and learn from everyone here.I will occasionally drop comments though

I believe the thread is moving towards the right direction once again compared to what it was as at when I made my last comment
