As for Ade being in reserves, has any striker in the history of your despicable club ever scored 30 goals in a season? Get back to me on that.

Where is your retentive memory? grin cheesy
Didier Drogba scored 33 goals(no penalty-kicks) in 2006/7 season.

It's not diaby's inability to make complete passes . . . It's the speed at which the passes are made that's incompatible with Diaby's technique. . . Essien makes terrible passes most times . . . Mikel completes most passes . . .
Imagine what kinda controversy i could generate suggesting Essien should be sold because he doesn't make as many complete passes. . . ?
Essien in your team with the same system will look nothing better than a pub player. . .

In this respect, it's the team . . not the player.

You hit the nail on the head my friend.

I do not get it,are you by anyway suggesting the team dumbs/slow down 'cos of Diaby?

Diaby's talent/technique is overshadowed and vitiated by his many inabilities;slow reaction to passes, easily dispossessed of the ball, holds on to the ball longer than neccesary even when it is obvious "a stitch in time will save nine",and when he eventually passes, most times,it is to the opponents.

He seems to have a football brain that is slow to respond to his environment(field of player) and his team-mates.

For a lad is age, size and height we shouldn't be talking about potentials and non-tenacity.

Diaby is a luxury player at best.

First of all apologies to Ibime - I got a bit carried away yesterday. Truce? grin

Next on - Adebayor is opening his gob again, and trust me it's a whole load of bollocks. Now I am not surprised that Wenger dropped him. Imagine a player earning 80k a season saying it's because they don't 'sing his name' that he is not performing?? Wenger should sell this Arrow with immediate effect - he is not worthy of the red and white.

Was Ronaldo not booed after Winkergate? Didn't he come out and regain fans' confidence by his exceptional performance?? Now Ade is claiming that he lost motivation because fans were not singing his songs?? He is claiming it is not his fault that Milan and Barcelona want him?? This doofus is so thick he doesn't get it. How long have Barcelona and Madrid wanted Cesc?? Was he ever booed because other clubs wanted him?? How long did clubs want Henry for before he left? Who ever booed him because of that??

No Ade, this is all YOUR fault. Your duplicitous chameleon-like behaviour over the summer and your stinking attitude caused fans to turn away from you.

Get your head straight - Eboue and Bendtner were booed because of their mistakes, once they sorted it out, they were welcomed back. You on the other hand fail to try and keep making noise and even went to the extent of going to criticise FANS on the BBC for booing you? Are you the only player at Arsenal FC?

Not only does he give a daft excuse, he claims he never wanted to leave. Oh really? Who made these idiotic comments MINUTES after saying one thing during the Euros last year?

"I am a footballer, I have a three-year contract at Arsenal but as you know, a lot of clubs are interested in me," he told Sky Sports News.

"At the moment we are just going to sit down and talk and decide what to do.
"Nothing has been decided yet. We will decide next week."

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3746189,00.html

He must think we are all stupid and can't see through his brinkmanship. Cesc is worth far more than he is, yet Cesc never threatens the club saying other clubs are interested. RVP never said the same, neither did Henry or players much better than him. Who the heck does this Togolese clown think he is?

Good riddance to this stinking heap of rotten pig carcass. Adebayor should be sold to the highest bidder and we should not look back.

AW should have sold his ass since last season. Do you think Ade or any other Arsenal players can command a starting shirt in great teams like Man. United, Barca, Chelsea, Milian and Liverpool? Wenger needs to buy big and experienced players if he wants us to start taking his serious.
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by yousouph(m): 2:41pm On May 17, 2009
@ Debo. Adebayo must not your comment over him. He definetely seek for explanation of him that made you used such remarks for him. Anyway, i blame Wenger for not selling him last season cos his value will be lesser now. The sooner he leave the better for us. Just read that Arsenal want to cash in on V Persie as contract talk stalled. I love Benzema or Huntelaar to dorn the Red and White jersy if Ade and or Persie leave.

Ade has failed in some big games this season to be honest and has really not lived up to his new pay-cheque whether we should rush and sell him is what i am not so sure of i don't think he was our biggest problem this season and despite his annoying traits i am not sure selling him is the answer

Ade didnt really perform well this season unlike last season but i feel we should keep the players together and inject new players into the team. Only then do i see us doing well next season
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by debosky(m): 11:07am On May 18, 2009
Any player not fully committed to the Arsenal cause and will insult the fans for something that is completely HIS OWN fault should be sold immediately.

We have seen the effects of disunity this last season - anyone who will not give 100% and gives excuses instead of working on his attitude and performance while flirting with every 'big' club out there should be SOLD.

Ade should get us £20-25m. With that we will bring in two quality players - one CB and one DM. We will be OK upfront with RVP, Dudu, Bendtner and Vela, with Walcott and AA possibly playing up there as and when required. If necessary, with additional funds from the club we can bring in an additional striker.

To hell with any player who thinks it is fine to insult fans and excuse poor performance on the basis of people not singing his name, while collecting £80k from the club weekly. angry

Ade should be sold ASAP. Besides, he should be around 30 years old by now. Better cash in.

Another pertinent observation. I just can't stand it when players think they have arrived and haven't won anything.

Ibime talk to Roman, we can do a package deal - buy Ade for £25m and we'll throw in Diaby for FREE. grin
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by Ibime(m): 11:50am On May 18, 2009
We already have enough problems with DD attitude problem, we dont need another prima-donna. Theres been disconcerting news coming from the Chelsea camp recently about our reported interest in Samuel Eto (32 years old) and Adebayor (30 years old). I wonder why Mike Emenalo, our Sporting Director (lol), doesn't tell Roman that these players' ages are fabricated.

@ Ibime
don't kill me with laughter oooh grin grin grin

Meanwhile.
Looks like Ade may have played his last match for the Arsenal!
There are rumours that he was yanked off the team after the silly interview.
Who advises this Adebayor guy?
He said so many stupid things last summer and infuriated even the few that loved him, come what may!
Now the summer hasn't even started and he's beginning to say unreasonable stuff.
I have watched the Manure games in the Cl again and believe me, the body language wasn't right!
You can't compare that performance with the Ade of last season that used to be a handful for EPL defenders, chasing down everything!
AC Milan(Beyonce) and Chelsea(Genevieve grin) both look interested.
It may just be the right time for Ade to go!
If he stays and get back to the Ade , we all know,
I would be the first to lead in singing that his song again,
if he doesn't,
we know the opposite of that song he loves to hear and it will be sung clearly lipsrsealed
so he will understand! cool
Yes, of course(9ce) grin grin grin grin

abeg Ade should be sold, the dude has bad karma, we've not won anything since he joined up, his time @ monaco too was barren.

I wonder what Dr kit has to say about his "inlaws" performance this season?

Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by biolabee(m): 6:27pm On May 18, 2009
in terms of attitude i agree that ade has not put up his best on pitch for most of the season but lets not forget that he was rushed bk from injury 3 times and also hes not exactly suited to the 4-5-1 formation as he s not as physicall as DD

also if we sell ade again i feel it perpertuates the same system of no quality in the team sellin the ones that have matured and waitin for the next best thing

i trhink the only way we can compete for a trophy next season is to have a bigger team and not push boys from the milk cup

i think he was just frustrated, we shd pour our frustration not on him but on the Board and AW who has been given 13m to do wat? germinate a green house again?
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by khanye(m): 7:06pm On May 18, 2009

Lets just wait and see what  the board would  come up with but we need to spend and spend big if those misers that we call board members are not willing to cough out  big chips then they might as well sell their stakes in the club

Juve have sacked Ranieri. . . . Arsene is a very lucky man to be honest

Better put Arsenal lacks ambition How many clubs would stand a coach who has been trophyless for 4 seasons,

Mention one top club who has stuck with a coach who has not won a trophy in 4 seasons

is any1 following whats going on with wenger? all what he is saying abt him considering Real Madrid? Personally, i think if he wants to go he can go. we will surely miss him but if he wants to go he can. he said the some of the board members are questioning his policies. why wont they question it wen he hasnt won anything in 4 years. the board is the most patient board in football. so many coaches are sacked even if they win something in a season not to talk of some1 who never won a tin og milk in 4 years. it will be a trying time for the gunners but we just need to cross the bridge now.
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by debosky(m): 9:33am On May 19, 2009
Relax bro - Wenger won't go anywhere - he has too much invested at Arsenal FC at the moment.

There is no comparison of Ranieri to Wenger - has Ranieri ever won anything for Juve? Has he led them to transform the club and move into a new stadium on a shoestring budget that limits him? No.

dayokanu:

Mention one top club who has built a new stadium with the scarce resources of Arsenal and continued to be competitive in the CL.

Only a myopic fan would look at the lack of trophies in isolation without considering the other surrounding factors at the club.

No it wont be!

And regarding potential replacements if he leaves, there are many!

Many top class coaches who will be impressed by the set up we have and the status of the club worldwide

Many top class managers who ready to sacrifice all for Arsenal and more than capable of getting involved in our project and taking it towards more success!
