I would advise your friend to practice speaking at a slower pace - he shouldn't be in a hurry to speak. I was a near chronic stammerer before I began speaking at a slower pace. It helped me a lot.
Alternatively, your friend can seek the the help of a speech therapist.

I am a journalist and also stammer. When am up for a business, I talk slowly. A person who stammers knows that he will stammer even b4 uttering the words, so the best thing is to tell urself " I will not stammer cos I will talk slowly".

Tell your friend to learn the art of mastering his emotions. I use to stutter very badly until I started studying materials on emotional intelligence and mastering emotions. There is hope for him if he can learn a few skills.

hope is the thing that has kept me going... sometimes it gets really worse, that i can't say a single word without having a block. then, it gets better.. just rotating

He should get any ordinary water, bless that water with psalm 20 and drink it henceforth. He reteaches himself how to talk by reading out most the bible or quran aloud alone. He must avoid argue or forced conversation or talking in a noisy environment. Let him trust God for the repairs by asking God for help.

there is a cure for it. tell ur frd to get a snail shell. he should remove the snail inside gently and crack d inner shell. after that, it will look like a cup. he should use it to drink water, within 3 months he is going to c improvements for him self. in 9 months time its over

He started stammering in 2008 after a baseball hit his neck and affected his vocal chord. The guy is a comedian, he uses his disability to crack jokes. He was on America's Got Talent and came second.

There's a deaf guy on Project Runway and another on America's Next Top Model....
