Thor, I commend you on your strength and courage to face the many many obscenities and insults because you are making a admirable stand. I am an American and I understand what it is like to be deceived by a Nigerian man who professes love and marriage to me. I am African American decent and it awes me to see how corruption can trickle down into any society. From what I understand, it is the leadership of Nigeria that is fueling this fire. Why won't the people take them down? I, as a black woman in America have done nothing to harm Nigeria or any one of her people, yet I grieves me to see fellow Nigerians savor the suffering of others because they are not Nigerians. I am also on the scam list. It is atrocious!

Nigeria never had a soul to begin with.This is a nation with hundreds of ethnic groups who have no intention of getting along.There is a silent war going on in this country.The so called leaders know that Nigeria is a geo-political joke and at the rate things are going, can never be truly unified.I mean, check out the stats : Abacha's son (Mohamed) has the slot to be governor of Kano state under the PDP ticket. I agree with allot of what McCloud say's about Nigeria not having a soul and it being so fragmented. The difference is there are many other nations in Africa where people struggle, just seems they do not resort to scamming, stealing and thieving to try and get by 

As for people scamming because they need to eat and live, do not forget one important point, the really poor people can not afford to sit in Internet cafes and buy mobiles phones and SIM cards 

It is not the really poor and needy people that commit these dirty scumbag crimes, it is people who are lazy and without any moral backbone

I am very sorry to hear your story, I am afraid it is very common the romance scam, which dispels a common myth that only greedy people fall for scams. That is absolutely not true, these filthy criminals prey on people feelings to steal money, they are the worst kind of sub-human garbage 

What is for sure is the majority of people here support these animals and as such it further goes to strengthen what McCloud says 'This country is as good as dead.This country is a cemetery'.

One more thing, Nobody is supporting this trend of events.What the majority including myself have been trying to tell you is the only way to tackle the problem is from the root.Its that simple.Why is it so HARD and COMPLEX for you to understand?

Okay,I'll name a few (Russia,Ukraine,Romania,Bulgaria,Vietnam,South Korea,China,America, to name a few).You don't hear them selling their people on the media (TV,newspapers or internet).

The reason why we are seen as lepers is because of people like you who bring down your countries name all to make yourselves look good.I mean come on, everyday you get junk mail.I dont know about you but most of the unsolicited emails i get are work online scams,real estate scams,fake pornography sites that are meant to phish your credit card/bank details,credit card "company" scams,educational scams,fake bank pages,virus emails to take over your computer (the list is endless).The nigerian email scam letters i recieve daily are roughly 3% of the total bulk.The remaining 97% is from other countries.

The problem with us nigerians especially the southerners is that we sell ourselves for cheap.It started with the slave trade and its still on.An example is our dear poster who is a saint.

What really puzzles me is you prefer to turn the issue around and say "NL people support bad things".Somewhere along the line, it has to sink into your head that your online rant is a waste of time and internet space.The problem has to be tackled from the root.

1. Presume that this letter originated from Nigeria and from a Nigerian? And
2. To attach this letter to the letter you sent to the ministers earlier on?

However, the ministers might not take it serious having known that it is a thing of comon knowledge that the early report suggests that Debbie Rowe, Jackson's ex-wife was exluded from his will, and as such, it forms a fulcrum of general knowledge for the time being.

I hope you haven't lost the drive to complete your white horse project.

Firstly, the death penalty can be the only way to deter these filthy animals. There would of course have to be strict rules in place regarding the death sentence and 100% proof of the crime.

I would suggest a three stage punishment plan in terms of severity and giving people three chances:

1st Offence

Castration for men and sterilisation for women - This would prevent the criminals from fathering or giving birth to any more bad criminal stock and their names would be published in national newspapers. The castration / sterilisation would be carried out without the use of an anesthetic!

2nd Offence

Branding & Amputation - The scammer would have the words '419 Thief' branded on their faces with a red hot iron for all to see in the future and their right  hand and left foot amputated.

3rd Offence

Hanging by the neck until dead in public - This would be televised on national TV and DVD rights sold. All money raised would go towards paying back victims any stolen money.

I think this is a fair and just punishment structure and gives people a chance to change, but is harse enough on those that decide not to change.

1st offence:  The castration and sterelisation of men and women wouldn't work - it's barbaric, Human Rights organisations across the world would have a field day, and Nigeria would come across as a country of savages. The damage would equal or even exceed that done by Nigerian scammers worldwide.

What about the human rights of their victims? Human rights apply to humans, these 419 scumbags are animals so this does not apply. Nigeria already comes across as a nation of criminals, that is the reason we need to act to get back on track and join the world community as a valued partner 

2nd offence:  The amputation will not work either, for pretty much the same reasons stated above.

It seems pretty popular in islamic countries and is a good deterent. Saudi Arabia is a prosperous country without 419 scumbags, so it must be a good deterent and there is no reason why it should not be made law in Nigeria.

3rd offence:  Not a good idea - what happens when it later transpires that the neck that was stretched was an innocent one? How do you revive the dead? How honest are those passing judgement, and implementing legislation / capital punishment?

There would of course have to be very strict rules and then only as a last resort, but if you have a sterislised amputee criminal who continues to steal, then why should his neck not be stretched. What good is this person to Nigeria?
