Lies and more lies. This is far from the truth. Go and check the record for yourself instead of believing the lies by the writer just to stoke ethnic war or justify Biafra agitation. We should cross-check on facts before taking positions. Ask around and get the breakdown please.

...and I ask
"how come a people who had standards lowered for them to go to school came out tops in places of work?"
"how come a people who seldom make the country proud outside our shores are elevated within above their betters?"
"...and how come we still see a future so bright for a country where mediocrity reigns over superiority?"
Naijeriya is a one way ride to a place of no return.
That's the spoils they gained from years of been in power via coup. The South blindly supported their ascension to power hence this seed was sowed and has germinated into a big tree. The Northern influence span across all sectors in the Nigerian work space. Tell me,have u heard NPA advertise for any job opening? How come they(Northerners) are so many there. The concept of One Nigeria is a tool to perpetuate, entrench and consolidate their strong grip on us.

W.W, these theories are expected from the public, most especially from those with selfish interests and much hate.

The solution is very simple, I think: Concerned individuals and groups should simply GO TO COURT! Simple!!

What are the governors saying? Ndigbo? Other sociocultural cum political and Rights Groups?

Biafra agitators should seize such opportunities to contest the anomaly instead of the street action. The outcome of such legal action will proof whether or not they are right in their claims of marginalisation.

But you know what? Most who are supposed to lead the fight are so selfish and so corrupt that they can't fight any injustice against their people. They will rather choose self preservation. That's one of the jokers that the Northern born to rule capitalises on!

I'm afraid these ethnic imbalances created with impunity will last as long as they control the government at the centre!

(Census says they are more than the south. May be that is the basis of the action. But no injustice lasts forever!)

igbos and their greed, show us the statistic of employments during pius ayim and stella odua and that igbo immigration fool during GEJ era. what is good for geese is good for d gander. i prefer a fulani colleague to an igbo collegue, why they are hypocrites and no 1 rascist.

The writer should have listed the names of those in the SE that merited promotion but were not giving, just like Gen. Minimah did when he was CAS, by stagnanting brave soldiers of other regions.

Turn by turn, when igbos run federal offices they also quickly reduce it to their ethnic enclave, when we're all tired of Nigeria we'll go our separate way's

The distribution in the Comptrollers’ cadre is pathetic, as the
South East was nearly completely left out also. North West
alone got 25 slots as against four by the South East. Other
zones also got relatively the lion’s share compared to the
South East. Question is: on what basis were these promotions
done and what is the justification for the bizarre disparity
between the other zones and South East, to the point where a
zone would get 25 Comptrollers and South East only four? For
the avoidance of doubt, here it is: SE 4, SS 11, SW 10, NC 18,
NE 26 and NW 25.
And they keep singing one Nigeria, one Nigeria my left yellow azz.

EUROBOMBER:

Shut ya gutter you brainless ediot, so you see nothing in this very lop-sided appointments?

Quotasystem, what is happening to the quotasystem under Buhari because what we are seeing every day is northernisation.
The op is just trying to be mischievous, he is trying to deceive those who don't understand how Civil service or the customs work. He hammered on the "appointment" of comptrollers. He is wrong in many ways.
Firstly, comptrollers (AREA ADMINISTRATORS) are not apppinted. They are promoted. It is the highest position a Nigerian customs officer can attain or promoted to, based on merit. From the next positions of ACG, DCG and CG are political appointments sort of. They form the management team of the Nigeria Customs Service. The position of DCGs, by principle of federal character is spread among the 6 geo-polical zones. The DCG positions are 6, the DCGs head the 6 departments of the NCS. That principle still obtains in this Buhari's administration. The 6 Deputy comptroller generals (DCGs) are picked (each from the 6 geo-polical zones) go to customs.gov.ng and click on the management team to clarify your doubts. I don't know of any rule that says assistant comptroller generals (The ACGs) must be drawn equally from the 6 geo-polical zone. If there is any, you can share with me.
No government comes to power and retire all the comptrollers and appoints new ones because they are never appointed in the first place. they got to that position via promotion based on merit. It is technical and logical truism that any region that has the most number of qualified DCs (DEPUTY COMPTROLLERs) stands a chance to have the most nunber of comptrollers. A lot of factors may inform or affect one's career climb, these include, years of service, age, outstanding achievements that may warrant rapid or double promotion, querry that may lead to demotion or halt in promotion for a number of years, retirement etc. It should also be noted here that it is not the case that all the region gets equal number of officers recruited on an annual basis. All these factors may lead to a lopsided number of high ranking officers qualified for promotion to the highest cadre over the years even if there is an equal number of recruited officers from the 6 geo-polical zones as at the time of entering the service. This lopsided "situation" could be to the benefit of ANY geo-polical zone.
The op is just being mischievous. There is no marginalization anywhere.
