The only regions that should have the highest is the SW and SS because we have the major ports where there is some income. All the others are criminals. NE ke Even NC?
Story the region that should have the highest should be the ppl of the south EAST,cos they are the highest users of Nigerian ports.80 % of goods that come into Nigeria are done by the igbos .

I have never seen a region like this. You want to eat your cake and still have your cake. When your whole eastern region couldn't vote for a single Apc senator from 15 senators that came from the east, you never saw any wrong. When your region blindly voted against PMB because of personal hatred for the man.You are simply reaping the seed of hatred you planted in the last election.

The op is just trying to be mischievous, he is trying to deceive those who don't understand how Civil service or the customs work. He hammered on the "appointment" of comptrollers. He is wrong in many ways.
Firstly, comptrollers (AREA ADMINISTRATORS) are not apppinted. They are promoted. It is the highest position a Nigerian customs officer can attain or promoted to, based on merit. From the next positions of ACG, DCG and CG are political appointments sort of. They form the management team of the Nigeria Customs Service. The position of DCGs, by principle of federal character is spread among the 6 geo-polical zones. The DCG positions are 6, the DCGs head the 6 departments of the NCS. That principle still obtains in this Buhari's administration. The 6 Deputy comptroller generals (DCGs) are picked (each from the 6 geo-polical zones) go to customs.gov.ng and click on the management team to clarify your doubts. I don't know of any rule that says assistant comptroller generals (The ACGs) must be drawn equally from the 6 geo-polical zone. If there is any, you can share with me.
No government comes to power and retire all the comptrollers and appoints new ones because they are never appointed in the first place. they got to that position via promotion based on merit. It is technical and logical truism that any region that has the most number of qualified DCs (DEPUTY COMPTROLLERs) stands a chance to have the most nunber of comptrollers. A lot of factors may inform or affect one's career climb, these include, years of service, age, outstanding achievements that may warrant rapid or double promotion, querry that may lead to demotion or halt in promotion for a number of years, retirement etc. It should also be noted here that it is not the case that all the region gets equal number of officers recruited on an annual basis. All these factors may lead to a lopsided number of high ranking officers qualified for promotion to the highest cadre over the years even if there is an equal number of recruited officers from the 6 geo-polical zones as at the time of entering the service. This lopsided "situation" could be to the benefit of ANY geo-polical zone.
The op is just being mischievous. There is no marginalization anywhere.
https://www.customs.gov.ng/About/management_team.php

Are you really trying to justify this mess? Please which region are you from?
That SE had just 4 comptrollers and NW & NE had 25 and 26 respectively is justifiable to you?
Or you are okay that the 3 Northern zones had 69 while the 3 southern zones had only 25 just about ⅓ of what their northern counterparts had?

Does it make any sense to you that Northerners have far less enrolment into the universities than their southern counterparts, only for them to fill up most positions in the civil service?
It means that for example, 70% of Northern graduates get employed into the federal civil service, while only about 5-10% of their southern counterparts get the same opportunity (I chose the figures arbitrarily. The ratio is what I want you to consider). Is this fair by any means?

Nigeria isn't just working, and as far as this kind of injustice thrives, then I'm sorry to say that this country doesn't deserve to survive.
I personally don't support the Biafran agitation, as I believe a prosperous Nigeria is of greater benefit to Igbos than Biafra, but when things like this keep going on unabated, I have no choice than to wish for Biafra to succeed.

You are simply a liar with bad memories.Hear you."Hausas voted massively for Buhari in 2011.But it was PDP under GEj that won the presidential election in 2011.get your figures and fact well. That was the same story we had from your region that Buhari will Islamise Nigeria.Children of hate.

And in the same dispensation, your core north had VP, Speaker, CJN, President of Customary court of Appeal, Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Chief of defense staff, IGP, NSA etc. Of all the positions Igbos occupied, can you tell me anyone that is higher ranked than the VP and Speaker?

Igbos have been completely left out of Buhari's government based on his appointments, and we've gradually accepted our fate, but to carry that height of bigotry to the civil service is extremely painful.
The south East has at least double the number of enrolments into the universities than the north west, but the north west could comfortably produce 25 comptroller, 6 times of the measly 4 positions given to the south East. Prior to now these appointments/promotions have been made on a geopolitical zone basis, in a bid to respect federal character.

Please don't tell me that you're justifying this ill.

What is really going on in this Buhari's government for goodness sake? Why is Buhari bent on destroying this country? Just look at the sharing in customs, SE gets only 4 while NW gets 25! This is wonderful!

It is because of issues like this that many more people are becoming sympathetic to the Biafra agitation, what the fvck! Igbos can never be put under and we will never accept this, somebody should go tell that Buhari that this is getting too much. Firstly he came up with a very unnecessary 5% speech and now we have this.

This is just too bad for the unity of this country, this is just to bad for peace to rain.

Enyimba is the most successful football club in Nigeria with the highest EPL trophies.

U ab0kies are parasites to Nigeria. Divide this country and North will b worse than Somalia!
why are you hyperventilating like scum?

You cannot read a simple post and understand ..typical Igbo ..

I said kano pillars has won more trophies than many southern clubs, it means Hausa's are also good when it comes to football but Igbos marginalized Hausa and cleanse them from Nigerian football..

I asked what is southerners achievement in democracy that warrants that they are better than north like you lots wants us to believe that only southerners are the achievers..

I also asked for Igbos achievement in customs which you gladly ignored ...
