Nice facts. But No 5 has a problem. Both pronunciations are correct. There are even more absurd pronunciations like fun-gi and fun-dzi. I had to re-check when I saw it on your list.

Can you compress fire into a can? No, but gas can be compressed, isn't it?

Gas can exist on its own but fire can't. You need oxygen and a source of fuel to cause or bring about fire

Therefore, fire is neither solid, liquid nor gas!

The two transcriptions you saw there only suggest that the "g" in the word in question could be pronounced like the "g" in "giant" or the "g" in "gate". None of them says fun-gay (/f^ngai/) is acceptable.

Obviously, you're taking phonemic transcriptions to be same as the letters of the alphabet.
